Otherwise known as Bubble Bobble III. Better than Rainbow Islands, I thought.

Enjoy the memories:

I think I heard of that game before. But I'm more into the Bubble Bobble with the dragons. I wonder if they have a Bubble Bobble Game like that on TG-16.

This was the only game in the Bubble series for the TG16. Bust A Move (Puzzle Bobble) was the next set in the series, but started coming out in the 3DO/PSX then.

Actually, there was one other Bubble Bobble game, Rainbow Islands which came out on the Turbo cd in Japan, I'll be uploading the music for it soon. Also, Liquid Kids came out on the Turbo in Japan on Hucard, & originally was considered Bubble Bobble 4.

Oh, & Bubble Symphony came out on the Saturn in Japan, as I own that as well, it's a great game! But, Parasol Stars is deffinitly my favorite in the whole series! Oh, & there is a Famicom(Japanese NES) version of Parasol Stars, though, it's looks & sounds nowhere near as good as this version ofcoarse.

And I might add, we're kicking around an idea of remaking the first Bubble Bobble for Turbo cd! My idea, is to have every 10 or 15 stages be a different world. So, let's say, stages 1-15 have a rocky cave background with the standard Bubble Bobble music, redone by me ofcoarse. But then the next 15 levels have maybe a cave near an ocean in the background, & I'd recompose the music the original music, to have more of a Carribean sound. Plus, I think we'd add in some paralax. Basically, the background would be really big, so that everytime you go to the next stage, it scrolls over to see more of the background, & different parts of the background move at different speeds, to emulate a 3dish effect.

Anyways, it's not even in the real planning stages, it's just an idea we've kicked around, but I'd love to do it someday.

What way would I be able to play it, as well as the other projects that you were working on? I think you mentioned some special emulator was it? Just want to make sure it's playable without some special attachments that need to be set up.

Well, I usually just end up playing my games on Magic Engine, but there are a few other emulators for Turbo that are good. However, all the projects that we are working on, & all the ones in the future, will be playable on your real Turbo Grafx, since they'll be cd games.

Some, like Mysterious Song, we are planning on having mass produced with booklets & everything, so you'll be able to purchase some of our games, & have a real copy in you hands, though I don't know how many we will have produced, I'm sure it'll be a low number like a couple thousand, since we're not making games for PS2 or something else current, where alot of people will be buying the game.

Other games, like remakes, will be downloadable for free, & you can burn them onto cd, & play them on your Turbo CD as well :) For the free games, I'm going to try to have someone make something simple that you can print out for the case, so that you can stick them with the rest of your collection, nicely labeled, rather then in a blank jewel case.

I might add, if you don't know, there are already 2 games that have been released by another company, Mindrec. You can buy them at TZD.com, here's Meteor Blaster DX http://www.tzd.com/information.cgi?id=666
and here's Implode http://www.tzd.com/information.cgi?id=418

I also might add, that those 2 games are just the begining, they are now working on a Contra style game called PC Gunjin, & it looks friggin awesome! And a vertical shmup like Super Star Soldier called Xymati which also looks awesome! They also have an action rpg in the works, but, since there's basically only 2 people in Mindrec, I think that one is on hold while they work on the other 2 titles.
