He's male, okay. Get over it. He's only around 14 years old. Nothing about the name, the clothing, or the sound of the voice indicated female to me.

and Odin's. Fran and Balthier ?? had something like a romance?? or they are good friends?? what about the Viera Males??

I don't think there are any male Viera. As for Fran and Balthier....I honestly don't know, they appeared to be partners in the same buisness at the beginning of the game but later in the game it seemed to be that they were good friends. But what makes me thing that they might've had something like a romance is the ending sequence on-board the Bahamut. idk, it's tricky but i think that SE planned it to be that way for people.

Somebody said in another thread that they read in a magazine that there are male Viera, you just don't see any in XII.

Gilgamesh? According to his Bestiary entry, he carries any of a number of legendary swords, but they're all fakes / replicas.
