He seemed like a real womanizer at times, but still really awesome. I loved him. I kept wishing and hoping he would join the party as a guest, but it never happened. He just seemed really cool and hip, and helpful to the party too.

I liken his character to that of Balthier in a way - very charismatic, but with more of a modern twist. I can certainly see him with a gun, but that's probably b/c I associate Balthier with guns. If not a gun, perhaps a lance or one of those swords used for fencing (not sure what the proper name for it is). Very cool though - like a less-secretive James Bond maybe?

He does have that. As for Bene you are talking about either a Foil or a Rapier. Foils are used in the sport fencing but have little actual ability to harm, while Rapiers are their more dangerous cousins. I personally would chose a Kora sword for the right and a Talwar witha big 2 hand hilt in the left. But yeah I see either a Rapier or a gun as his weapons though I can aslo see him wearing Steel Gauntlets and going at it like 'Gentlemen'

Al-Cid out-pimps Balthier (it breaks my heart, but it's true). Hell, he's even got a hot chick in tight pants that holds his glasses for him. She doesn't even speak.

Balthier is way cooler than Al-cid, hes got his own airship he's a sky pirate and he has a Hot Viera chick called fran with him 24/7, and he was a judge at 1 time in his life.

Al-cid also reminds me of luis sera from re4, i think a gun would be a suitable weapon, i didnt really like the character you dont see much of him, he just turns up acts all cool gets wounded then limps off. At least thats all i can remember of him.

I agree that Al-Cid was hella cool, and definitely would have made a great guest party member. But the fact that you find the character from a video game sexy is altogether amusing and slightly odd. Although I don't judge, to each his own.

And on that Image anyone noticed that 3 of the girls all look exactly the same the exception is the girl holding his glasses she just looks angry or peeved. So Al-Cid got himself Triplets it appears I don't know wether to cry, appulaed, or run him through. As for Balither being out pimped by Al-Cid Naw Fran makes any one of those girls look like an underdevolped school girl and he has a Fan base I am sure propertional for one who is the 'Leading Man'.

This is true I have seen some of those fan sites and what have you. Balther is definitely more badass merely because he's a sky pirate. I feel like he could have any one of those girls if he wanted to. He's just a dedicated guy is all. He has Fran already so he doesn't go around with as many girls as possible like Al-Cid does.

False facts? Its true my friend is a geek plain and simiple and she is a hopless romantic. Though I have to agree with you on the idea of Reddas he probably could out-pimp anyone he after all charmed an entire Pirate town into submission.

Reddas may have charm, but charm does not always necesitate pimpishness. Pimpishness is determined by a simple equation of other factors compiled to discern the over pimpishness of a person, usually male. It looks a little something like this
charm*looks+number of girls*job/girlish characteristics=pimpishness.

simple mathematics really. anybody wishing to add or modify that, feel free, and hopefully we can all come up with a uniform reasoning here.

Yea Fran's definitely way better than the couple of girls Al-Cid has. Especially since she could easily kick their asses. This gives Balthier the edge in girls, job, and lack of girlish characteristics. Which is enough to be more pimp than Al-Cid at any rate. Basch is a whole nother story. Basch doesn't really have any girls though. He's always with Ashe, but he's just her knight so there doesn't appear to be anything more to that at all.

Second that Fran has legs that don't stop -drool- as for Basch he may not get loving on screen off is a different story. Rememeber that friend? Yeah her and guys with bad past I will never understand. Plus I have been told Scars are sexy though it in reference to me I think it will work with Basch. Plus you have to admit he is cool as all get out. I thought Al-Cid was a completely useless NPC. All he did was show off to let us know there's another part of the world that you can't explore. I hate the fact that Square-Enix went and did a world you just can't fully explore. Although massive, it was still a let-down to me. This and the fact that we havent seen a real airship since FFIX. Driving the airship ourselves feels so much better than clicking on the destination of your choice... oh well...

It's been something I've been holding in for a while, because, honestly, it does seem a bit petty. As Hynad mentioned, it is a massive game. I don't really want to be sore just because we didn't get to explore one area.

Agreed - it would have been great to explore Rozarria and experience new architecture, culture, etc., but there is sooo much to this game as is that it's hardly worth complaining about.
