Hey, new to the forum, it's quite nice btw.

Anyways, I'm trying to fill up my bestiary, and while I was actually wanting to find some Wildsnakes in Giza Plains for Snake Skin (loot that's part of the requirement for Tournesol) I noticed that it was raining. So I decided to try and find the Mardu Entite, except I can't find one ANYWHERE. I searched the entire region, and even the side area where you face the Gil Snapper.

If anyone has seen/beaten it can you please tell me where and under what circumstances?

Mardu entite is the Lighting one right? If so the connect point to Westersands is were they spawn and it is random from what I have seen though first time there was clouds and No rain but I don't remeber the second time but the primer says 'Lighting without rain' so maybe No rain while in the Wet while in that area to get. Sorry I can't be more help.

I seen this thing in the north west in warriors wash but i think it will turn up randomly anywhere in giza plains. I was at a low level though and got wasted so i ran of to another area and when i came back it had gone. It was raining when it showed up.

The snakes are their in the dry season and 1 shows up in toam hills, just go towards the centre of the map.

I know where the snakes are, I looked everywhere and happened to find one XD
Ok, so I guess it's just in a random area. Great, I've got lots of walking to do >.>

I'm starting to think that I've done something to make my game hate me - I seem to come across the Mardu Entite everytime I leave the Nomad Village and enter the Toam Hills during the rain - I have no use for this. My quandary is that I'm trying to get the Gnoma Entite to appear in the Westersand so I can get that bloody Ultima Blade - weeks of trying and no luck.

Anyway I digress; hope my experience with the Mardu helps.

If you killed the Earth tyrant or whatever he is called GOOD LUCK. I am having the same problem finding the Gnoma which can only be found during a sandstorm which stops happening either entirly or only RARELY after you kill the Earth tyrant which I killed a long time ago. See My problem I am betting you have the same one so unfortunatly tough cookies to us.

Yeah, Bene, did you kill the Earth Tyrant? I recently killed it myself and I was wondering about that.

Again, from what I read, you just have to keep entering and reentering and hope for a random spawn of sandstorm.

Yeah, killed the Earth Tyrant some time ago before learning of the importance of acquiring that Gnoma Halcyon. Prior to, it seemed that sandstorms were a regular occurrence, much like the rains/dry in the Giza Plains...alas, sandstorms have eluded me of late.

I've tried a few tricks to produce a sandstorm, but still no luck - thanks again for the advice you've dug up on this in other threads Agent. At this point I'm beginning to believe the rumours that after the Earth Tyrant is defeated, sandstorm frequency in the Westersand becomes almost mythological.

Seems this convo carried over from the Q&A. As I said there, I'm going to experiment after I take down Earth Tyrant, as I already got my halcyon and bestiary entries. If all else fails, you can hit up this cat on Youtube, who saved Gnomas for his last bestiary entry.

Sandstorms do happen after defeating the earth tyrant. Enter from giza plains during the rain, i seen someone mention this somewhere in another thread, it works.

Took me a chain of 9 Gnoma Entites before it dropped that halcyon but you do gain the odd feystone or nugget of electrum. Also the normal elementals can be chained with Entites, i did not know this, makes it alot easier to gain a bigger chain in places like giza where Entites dont appear as often.

Good God. I can't even fathom that.

Actually, it doesn't sound very hard at all at higher levels. Well, at least we have a concrete method now. I'll try it out myself when I have chance.

The Mardu Entite is an enemy in the game Final Fantasy XII. It is the lightning elemental Entite, and is found in the Toam Hills on the Giza Plains during thunderstorms. Like the other Entites, its attacks consist of Silencega, Sleepga, and Fear, which reduces one character's MP. Its attack spell is Thundaga. Also, like the other Entites, it is docile, but attacks when provoked or when Magic is used nearby. It should be avoided during the party's first visit to Giza during the wet season, as it is the most powerful Entite offensively.

I found that off of http://finalfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Mardu_Entite and it has the rest of the info on all the other Entite's too if anyone needs it

I checked it out and it is true, and no wonder no one ever finds the dumb thing, the thunderstorm took me FOREVER to come up with walking back and forth out of that area, drove me nuts!! took me almost 20minutes for me to get it to spawn

Consider yourself lucky. It took killing 13 of those buggers to get a gnoma halcyon
