Isn't there a site somewhere around here to get this game cheap?? I remember buying it at best buy a few years ago for $20 and I got one for free!! Usually after games make the GH green label they are pretty common..

The obvious answer here is from a shop.... However, FFVII is fairly uncommon in the UK now, unless you want a copied version. I'm quite happy to say I've got a nice original version.

eBay is probably your best shot if you want a completely new and sealed copy of the game. I bought mine sealed-and-new from 2ndgames.dk, but it's a Danish site, so linking to it is pointless. But, I will however say that it was completely new and sealed, and it only costed me $50. Pretty cheap for a sealed and completely unused game.

Although it may be something of a hit and miss affair, you could also try pawnbrokers too, as they sometimes deal in games. I actually found a brand new 'Platinum' version (European budget version of the US 'Greatest Hits' version) of FFVII at a local pawnbroker about six months ago for only $10 (Australian dollars)! Keep looking, and eventually you may find what you're looking for.

You are a moron. Fine you like your swords please stop posting your link in every post you do. Also I have found Brand new FFVII orignal mint condotion on Ebay 35 bucks I still use it today. Please 130 is WAY too expensive for a Single game for a Console sure but a single game? You are getting ripped off.

Also Hate to burst your bubble but I have found better deals on the FF swords usually around X-mas or an Anniversary of the releated game. Also Kadaj's sword is not 2xkatana but rather an offical name in Japanese that translates to Wolf Fang or something like it I will have to dig around for its true name later.

Look calm down on promoting the site and try to make your post more understandable for all our sakes please. Word of warning though that wasn't even a serious attempt at a put down by me and some of the others won't be so leinent in their apporach and speech and if you continue to post in this manner you will attract their attention.

As for the Sword it is a Japanese sword type created in the Age of the waring state period so the offical name does have value. As for the Bite the wax yeah righhht. Look some words don't translate well nor are they properly tranaslated in some cases but that doesn't mean what a tranaslation says it is means that 100% that is what it is. Also I was talking about the direct japanese name for the sword I only rememeber the tranaslated part and vaguely at that.

So calm down and check your work internet speech for the most part is frowned apon here just giving you a heads up.

Go to google put in PSX emulator then download ePSXe it is what I use. Then check the same site for ROMS or ISOs if they have them go to PSX section then look for FFVII simiple as that. Be prepared for some strange requirments like click these links so forth and so forth. If the site doesn't carry ROMS or ISOs then google it but add in Download should look like this Final Fantasy VII ISO Download or Final Fantasy VII Roms Download. If you use the Rom keep an eye out for the search will pull up CD-Rom that is not what you want just Rom alone nothing else.

buster blade
03-19-2007, 06:21 AM

Revaninja
03-19-2007, 06:26 AM
Nope not at all. Also the ePSXe emulator will if you have a CD-rom drive, which if you don't have one stick to Snes and lower Emulations, let you play actual PSX games in it no problem. So if like me for a Horrible grounding period a few years back have the cds and a Drive you can play your games without worring about the space an ISO will take up.

Okay first it is "Good you were not ripped off." Proper english here if you can the Mods get pissy on it.
And two I know of no place that charges Money for it since it is FREEWARE to start with. Now they might charge a Price for the Rare games ISOs like Ninja Gaiden Black or Something like that but not for an emulator or an older game like FFVII they want you to come back and charging a freeware will just chase away users period.

My opinion on the whole matter is that square-enix would be stupid not to remake FF7 for the PS3. I can almost 100% positive that if they remade FF7 then almost every FF fan would have a PS3 and would own that game. As for if they do decide to remake FF7, I think they should leave it the way it was. They could add a few extra things to the story to help explain the story line a little better, maybe a few more mini games but for the most part they shouldn't touch the old storyline. FF7 storyline is a very sacred story line and for square-enix to mess it all up in a remake of the game would piss off the fan to no end. It would be more disapointing then when they decided to come out with FF10-2.

buster blade
03-19-2007, 07:16 AM
i would have too agree because the story line is the best from most of the ff

Mickrulz
03-19-2007, 07:25 AM
Alot of fans (myself included) think that a remake would just be pointless. The game how it is is what makes it a classic by standards of some. I mean if you keep it the same, then its just playing the same game with better graphics, which is neglible to all but only the hardcore fans. And if they altered the story, it would not be FF7 in its true essence.

But even if they were, it wouldn't be for years to come, as they are focusing on their new project, Final Fantasy XIII.

You're quantity over quality, buster blade. Here's a piece of advice; look for the guy named Prak and send him a PM telling him everything you know about FFVII. Don't forget to detail the reasons why FF7 should be remade. Then go fuck yourself with a Cloud figurine.

militarymoose, you're full of shit. I don't whether to laugh or cry at your reasoning that every FF fan would go buy a $600 PS3 just because they're remaking FFVII, a mediocre game in every category except for being revolutionary. It's drooling retards like you that cause Square-Enix to stop making actual good games, and instead churn out useless FF7-related produce because it's more profitable.

I've tried on a few occaisions to get a PS1 emulator, in fact, I have the ePSX one, but I've no idea how to work it. What's the deal with "ISO"s and that junk (do note, I'm fairly knowledgable of emulators and roms concerning simpler emulators such as SNES, NES, and GBA, so you don't need to explain that stuff to me)

03-20-2007, 09:10 AM
I haven't had that problem at all i just popped in my discs and away it went no problem was playing FF7 for awhile using it.
The ISOs I have also gotten to work for Suikoden I & II, and Valkyrie Profile. Again no problem just Downloaded the ISOs started ePSXe then opened the File Section went to Run ISO on it tracked down where I put the ISOs and I was playing. Though I did need to turn down the speed as Much fun as it is to see Suikoden II sprites acting like gerbils on speed it would overwhelm and Glitch up my computer on ceratin bosses Like Necrolord castle and a Few others but as soon as I turned down the speed no problems other then the fact it wouldn't play some of the Video files like when the Beast rune gets used and others like that really annoying and it would glitch the graphics until I saved turned off the game and then turned it back on also Music and sound could be slightly funky but truly nothing to big. But other then the Speed issue, Music, and Video play no problems at all.

Mickrulz
03-20-2007, 09:21 AM
I have used to ePSXe, and have had substantial experience with it. It's alot of trial and error. You can download different Video, sound and Bios drivers from various sites. It then becomes a matter of fiddling around with the video and sound options, trying certain combinations to see what works. Some websites can offer assistance in that matter. Different games will take different setups, so like I stated, just trial and error. I have played many ISO ROMs on my ePSXe, and have got all of them to work by simply fiddling with the options.

Be aware however, that most of the games will run with glitches, regardless of your system and video/sound settings.

Wow, a lot of bickering and arguing on these forums, but I guess that's how many, many, many forums are these days.

As for a FF7 remake, I think it would sell like crazy. First of all, an incredible number of Japanese would instantly buy the game because 1) It's Square Enix. 2) It's an RPG. and 3) It's FF7, on of the most beloved games of all time, regardless of its genre.

Why would it sell? One, the story is amazing. Sure other games might have better ones, or ones that are more thought provoking, or still ones that are microcosms of society at large, but FF7's story pulled, nay, tore at your heart. This game left memories in gamers everywhere. Its why people, 10 years later, mind you, are still playing the game everyday and its selling for $150 on eBay. The game effected people, and still continues to affect new people today.

And all the people who browse, troll, and pass by this forum, who among you would not want to see the Summons in full HD glory with amazing crisp animations. Look at FF7: Advent Children, who doesn't want to see cut-scenes like that? I for one would jump at the chance to play FF7 with enhanced graphics and refined gameplay.

Do I think they'll do it? I absolutely think they'll do it. The world went crazy when the Tech Demo hit, they'd be nuts not to do it. But, if they did do it, they'd have to do it right, and I think they realize that and that's why everything has been so hush hush. Of course, if they did do it, and this might anger a lot of fanboys, but I think they would release it multi-platform, as in PS3 and Xbox 360, in order to appeal to a larger, newer, and more lucrative fan base.

So, here's to hoping they do it....

I would say Ebay is your best bet as well. But the prices of FFVII vary from $30 to $150 depending on the seller and the condition of the game... sometimes people even sell each disk of FFVII individually for about $20.00 each and stupid people actually buy them. -.-

z.zetsumei
04-06-2007, 05:36 PM
The prices on eBay don't go above 100 USD. There's a few for more, but they include other things like FF8, Vagrant Story, better games than FF7, etc.

its almost impossible to find ffVII in stores now...this is one of the main reasons, IMHO, why square enix should rerelease the game.
