I didn't make it, I found it in Spanish and had to translate it... it's only missing a few tracks that I noticed. The battle song in Twilight isn't there, the shop theme from the Castle Town shop before it becomes Malo Mart isn't there either... and then a lot of cutscene music, which can be obtained elsewhere anyway. There are probably a few more. Nevertheless, this is a pretty damn complete and decent quality soundtrack!

edit: whoops, I forgot to include website name in the title of the thread. Doesn't look like I can edit it though. Or maybe I can, it appears one place and not in the other.

cutscene music and some other in-game music, these can be find in other

The wolf songs sound bad. A sort of crackle-like sound is heard along with the howling. Granted that maybe my speakers are going bad but I don't have the problem with any other songs/sounds. Other than that, there are a few songs with background noises that hard hard to ignore. But, for the most part... it's a good rip.

It makes me yearn for the OST so hard. And, I hope the OST contains the track heard in the first trailer for Twiight Princess (before it was known as Twilight Princess).

Uh... the one I linked to should be in English. I translated it. The one on that forum is in Spanish.

Yeah, just got informed that City in the Sky was there. I swear, I don't remember it being that track, and I'm not too sure why I didn't rename it like I did the others with weird titles like that. But yeah, editing now.

Also since I heard a couple people mention it, the Twilight music is there, but the Twilight BATTLE music is not. Sadly. As weird and dissonant as it was, I loved that song.

This is the ultimate COMPLETE soundtrack with 236 tracks from the game,
ripped by mike from www.thehylia.com. But it's large: 496 MB!
Original post from thehylia.com:

"The Complete Twilight Princess Soundtrack Jan 19 2007
By: TSA
236 tracks from the Twilight Princess OST are here. These are all the best possible rips made from the game files, not actually recorded during playtime. There is one catch; some songs due have very "low" sound effects because they were a part of the audio file itself in the game. All efforts were made to minimize this on the tracks that contain this, so it won't be as noticeable.

Enjoy."

atlamillia44
01-20-2007, 10:31 PM
Yeah, I know. That was pretty unorganized, and what I have compiled is much more so (albeit not perfectly in order). I got that whenever you linked it the first time, and the three above weren't there... unless that link has somehow changed? Doubt it.

EDIT: maybe it did? What I have is only 172 tracks in the mikes_album directory. Christ, did I waste four hours doing this? If it's actually organized I'll be amazed though.

If you have an audio capture card you can stick the audio composite cables in there and record the audio straight to your PC. There are probably other l33t h4x0r ways but if you're asking how to rip music there's no way you can do that.

I'm in no position to complain, though; I got it at no cost to me. "Never look a gift whale in the baleen."

This place is awesome and I thank those who make the effort to rip and upload the soundtracks here.

Where can I find this equipment, and how much is it?

I would not recommend you go this route. It's extremely bothersome and riddled with problems, like having ingame sounde effects playing over the music. Wait for someone else to do it. There will be a full soundtrack soon anyway

Yeah, we all do. I just don't think you should go out, spend money and time ripping what tracks we still need well, and then have the soundtrack released. It's just not worth it, imho.

I guess so. I just thought that it'd be pretty easy to rip the Chudley's Emporium and Twilight Realm songs, but maybe not the Zant Battle 1...

Oh well. I hope my patience holds!

I really do appreciate this a whole lot!

However, one major problem, in my opinion, is that the ripper, when he (she?) trimmed the songs, kind of trimmed them oddly. By that, I mean that some songs are missing parts of intros (like Zora's Domain and Hyrule Field) and other songs start playing at the wrong places (like Castle Town Malo Mart and Hyrule Field Night).

At one point, I started recording the audio myself (and I did Zora's Domain and Castle Town Malo Mart), but the program I used to record from the Gamecube (Audacity) has some sort of normalization feature (which adjusts the volume if it is too loud or too soft) so it messed up a couple of the tracks which move from soft to loud.

Unfortunately, if you rip the Gamecube disk, the audio files do not contain all of the sons. Only the cutscenes.

No, it has all the audio files..just not in the usual format. It's a new type (.aw if I remember correctly) and I think playing them is being researched now.

.aw is a BANK file. .bms is the SEQUENCE file.

On the original upload, figured I'd let this be known...

"Miniboss: Suit of Armor" = "Miniboss: Armored Goron"

The track entitled "Boss," just before the Diababa fight, also appears to be the variation of "Miniboss: Suit of Armor" someone was looking for.

Also, "Zant Hologram" = "Miniboss: Great Phantom"

EDIT: And is it just me, or is the "Temple of Time" song really good? I never heard the percussion notes in the background before when playing the game. It sounds a lot better now!

I thought if you pause the game you only hear the music but it's just a bit quiter so someone could record it and icrease the volume using a simple audio editing program.

That could possibly induce a lowered quality. I noticed the quietness on some of the recs in Mogman's compilation... I assume that's what they did.

Also, I'm sorry, there were inaccuracies? Or are you just pointing out that some songs double in places? I can't be perfect anyway. Sorry. :|

I'm just saying that those songs are the exact same song, and are just put twice in the upload. Hey, I ain't blamin' you.

I doubt it. It's died down and I think we're all just waiting on an official soundtrack release at this point. Most of the music exists.

RightFielder

I don't think there will be an OST, since the game was released months ago and OSTs are usually released around the same time as the game. To my knowledge, anyway.

Most of the Zelda soundtracks were released several months after their respective games were released..

Oh, really? In that case, I hope they don't forget any tracks if and when it DOES come out. You'd think we'd have heard something about its impending release by now, though...

....
I'm new here by the way :)

I downloaded some of the soundtrack and I doubt i'll download anymore (I'm only downloading it 'cause it's a gamerip and lot illegal :D).
The reason being is because the person who ripped these and then edited them is an idiot (Sorry if your reading this but it's true), He/she has a fade IN on praticly all songs when there shoudln't be, and he/she could've at least ended the battle song right.

I can't remember who posted about this: but you said that the wolf songs sound crackly, well it's like that on the game aswell (Atleast the PAL ver. anyway)

Ok, does anyone agree with me that he/she hasn't done a very good job on editing them (thanks for taking the time and effort though, I appreciate that :))

PS: Does anyone know what I need to be able to view files/rip stuff/songs from Gamecube discs and Wii discs (they're both the same disc except WII has more memory on it than gamecube), if they do, i'd be most grateful if you could tell me, then I could rip them right hahaha.

PSS: The forum is nice lookin'

It's the best anyone could do. Most of the tracks would normally start with sound effects that are unable to be muted. That's primarily why there's a fade-in. Other than the wolf songs (I have good copies of all but 1 now, thanks to Mogman's compilation) they're done rather well for what we've had to work with.

if they do, i'd be most grateful if you could tell me, then I could rip them right hahaha.
Umm no. Not really. There's a pretty low chance of anyone doing much better than what we've already got. Just wait for an official soundtrack if you really want something that great, as nobody's found a better way. Yet.

merzitar
03-03-2007, 07:02 AM
Yeah, I wasn't flaiming him, i'm jus saying it would be better without the fade in. for example, hyrule field, it shoudl start with the intro but it don't. I can't wait for the official soundtrack, i'm deffinatly gonna buy it, along with Ocarina of Time and (if I can get a hold of it now) Majoras Mask

If I remember correctly most entrances begin with the sound of Link walking into the area... among a few other things in other places. That's pretty much why there's a fade-in--to eliminate sound effects as much as possible.

I realise that but it is a bit annoying.
Anywho, I love the zelda twilight princess music so i'm gonna download all the rips, just untill the soundtracks becomes available to buy.
I love the Guado Desert music in this game SO much.
Wehn I first saw my brother play through the arbiter grounds i thought "This looks hard"... but it was incredibly easy lol.
So yeah, I am dissapointed about the fade-in but I guess this is the best we're gonna get at the moment so my "Moan" is over lol.

Does anyone have the piece of music that accompanies the movie if you let the game sit at the title screen for awhile... I can't for the life of me find it in the album listed on the site or any of the ones linked to in this topic. Thanks.

Or rather, if it becomes available to buy. I had hoped that the recent conference with Koji Kondo would indicate some information about a complete Twilight Princess OST, but unfortunately I haven't heard anything. The game has sold extremely well worldwide; but in Japan it was only modestly successful, clearing (as of now) 425,000 copies. Not a bad number by any means, but certainly lower than Majora's Mask and Wind Waker's Japanese sales (which weren't as good as Ocarina's). But even then, those two had soundtrack CD albums released. Maybe perhaps Twilight Princess will get the same treatment. This is, either way, so far, the pinnacle of the Zelda OSTs; to deny it a complete release would be doing the music injustice.
