Just beat up Sephiroth and blah end movie. And the 500 years later movie... Red XIII was old and looks like he had children... How? He was the only one left... or was he?

And after the movie the game just ended :(. I was hoping it to be an open ending to i could start to breed chocobos. I was saving all the optional quest for later :(. And theres lot's of things i never did like making the master materials ect...

So... I just need to restart the game to make all that things or? Really dissapointing ending :(

Yeah once you have finished the game thats it. You are gonna have to restart if you wanna get the gold chocobo and the master materias and such.

You can still do all of the sidequests. Just load up your save file and work your way back out of the Northern Crater.

And Bugenhagen hints at the notion of Red XIII not being the last of his species if you go back to see him on disk 3.

Well to be fair most games do just end after the last boss. None of the FF's let you play on after that.

Technically you don't play on. You start again with everything apart from the levels you achieved.

But yeah, this is why I suggest to people who say I've nearly completed the game to save as often as possible in case you want to go back, or if they want to go on, make sure they use more than one save slot.

I dont remember it asking anything about saving after beating sephiroth...it did the forever long credits,said the end and took me to the main men. where i loaded up my gme and left the nort crater

That's still not what he was asking. He was asking if you could carry on after beating Sephiroth. Which was already answered. And as for you loading your game again, according to the loaded game, you've not completed the game. It doesn't really matter what you've got to say to be honest as the question's already been answered by others.

most rpg games (i played) have open endings. and i dont know when i can do all the other side quests either. i dont see any good time to start one. Its always something to do!
