Ive seen this somewhere you need 3 items to sell so it appears in bazaar like the thread in your link said, Lu Shang's Badge from fishing game, Godslayer's Badge from yiazmat mark and omega badge from omega mark XII. I thought omega was the last boss you can fight in the game or is their more after that?

I just dont see the point having these weapons when you dont really need them, fair enough with the zodiac spear you can get that half way through the game but whats the point in having a great weapon if everything has been defeated, or is their more marks to fight after omega mark XII?

As far as I know, Omega has nothing to do with the storyline - not sure how to reach that fight but you don't have to beat him to beat the game - it's more of an "I did this, praise me" type of sidequest battle. Yiazmat: I can't speak to - need some info on what that's all about.

I know omega has nothing to do with the storyline, ive finished the game many, many hours ago but i think you can only go after omega mark XII after you have defeated all of the other mark hunts, and other hunts for the bannga people at phon coast, and other hunts for the people in archades, the 1's where you need a sandalwood chop to access that area.

I think only after defeating all of these hunts, marks, rare game can you go after omega mark XII, i may be wrong i just remember reading that somewhere which makes me wonder what the point in having that weapon is if theirs no hard monsters to defeat? You could leave some of the espers but they can be defeated with normal weapons anyway.

Ya know, are these weapons really that much better? My strongest character has Ragnarok and I'm doing just fine. How much more damage does the zodiac spear hand out? Or the wyrmhero blade?

Think the zodiac spear is 150, dont know what the wyrmhero is but the ultima blade does 118. I want the tournesol but cant get it now, missed serpentarius gem from Zodiark, DAMN! 0_o

Well it said in that link- thanks to "Just Whatever".....that the Wyrmhero isn't as powerful, but gives a high evasion rate so that you are hit less. So it kind of balances out. I for one, havn't beaten the game yet because I keep feeling like I need to level up more. I also got bored of leveling up and started a new game....twice now haha. So yea, third play through and still havn't beaten it. I know, sounds dumb...don't need anyone to tell me.

I'm at 141 hours and still haven't beaten it yet. I'm procrastinating I guess. You'd think I'd have a super weapon by now too..... Maybe I'll look into that this week.

Ive just got this sword, you dont need to do all the rare game to fight omega but you do have to at least accept the yiazmat hunt. For some reason when its equipped your attack bar fills up really slowly, though you do block most attacks from monsters, but theirs not many left that could actually do anything anyway so its pretty useless. It does equip bravery and faith though. The tornasol and excaliber are better i think and can at least be obtained before all the boss fight have been completed.

I do agree with some of your sentiments. What's the point of getting the penultimate sword or weapon when all the big boys are dead? As most of you know the top bosses in FF are not the final boss but rather the side quest ones i.e. The emerald and ruby weapons from FFVII

I can give specific stats for both weapons if you guys still need them. The Tournesol has 140 attack, 25 evasion. The Wyrmhero Blade has 130 attack, 50 evasion, and holy element equipped to it. As for missing the serpentarius gem while fighting Zodiark, I know you can get them by selling High Arcana x1, Snake Skin x4, Serpent Eye x2. I can find the locations of those monsters/items, but am unsure off the top of my head.

Yeah i figured that out later in the game, i thought you can only make an item appear in bazaar only once, but you can make it appear again after buying it and selling the same items again. Thanks anyway cloud.

To get it sell all the badges you get from killing the elite mark Yizmat the fishing game and defeating Omega who is in the cyrstal top chambers near ultimata.
But it is not worth it unless if you cheat and get it early in the game I am planning on doing just that on my second play through.

How can you cheat and get it early? Even if you get it all the big bosses are gone so what's the point? The final bosses are push over compared to the elite marks or even the side quest ones.

Its called a cheat device all loot code. I am a completetioness so my first play might get 150 hours on it but everything is done on it so I won't feel bad on the second play through doing that I will just have to farm the Lp and gil needed for the equipment.
As it stands now Rare game and Yizmat plus Omega and the Last dunegon are all I have to do at 97 hours so I doubt it will get to 150 but who knows.

Cheating kind of defeats the purpose of playing the game.There's absolutely no accomplishment in using a cheatdevice, like gameshark or whatever else you might be using. I just don't see any point in playing if you're not gonna actually, you know, play the game.

I am talking about the second play through let me enjoy the nicer game aspects without the long hours and work to get there. I am first going to get as much done on my first play through as near 100% complete as I can. Only 2 areas will it be incomplete well 3 but that last one is negotaible just a pain to do. The Zodiac spear which I opened the do not touch treasures, The excalibur found where it was suppose to spawn and spent 3 hours tring to get the weapon I got nothing, and third is the entite in the Dalamasce sands that comes out in the sandstorm I killed the Earth dragon thing so no sandstorms for me unless off of the rare chance. So as you can see I have gone through the game defeated everything except most raregames, Hellwyrm, Yizmat, and Omega. After finish that I can say I will cheat with no gulit since I have done everything with no cheats. That is always how I play beat the game fair and square first time then cheat to enjoy whatever it is I like about the game for instance Splinter Cell Chaos Theory I beat enjoy snagging the guards so I put a NO sound code on and get to enjoy that a lot more then the first time through. Can I still die yes can I still lose yes I just use cheats for later plays to enhance the gameplay. And all I am talking about is an all Loot code not an Inf Hp Mp code which I know exisits I saw it when I got my Loot code.

I agree with cloud cheating does defeat the purpose of playing the game, but i see your point in that you have already done the first play through without cheating.

I dont even like using guides to be honest but theirs no way i could have done nearly all the game without help from gamefaq's guides, which i only used for about 5 things in the game. I just needed to do the rare game for the hunt club but as i did'nt have the zodiac spear anyway their was no point. It took me an hour or so to get excalibur, overall time was around 208 hours.

Man that is twice the time I think I will have which I think will be 120 or so hours. But there are way too many points in this game where you need a guide either for the secert weapons such as Zodiac shield, Zodiac spear, or Excalibur. The marks Marlith and such that was my first Gamefaq search and where I found out about the Zodiac spear. The espers such as Ultima and a few others. It has alot of well hidden things in this game a hint or 2 on some of them would have been Nice.

Oh speaking of Codes(Nice to know you understand where I am coming from) I have found what amounts to a New Game+ code not of my creating. You put in a value for the code and it will take you to a point in the game plot so far some of the begining and the End parts are up. I haven't tested yet but I am thinking on doing it from what I understand the Code just changes the Plot so all marks License, Espers and so forth are still yours. There are only 3 possible problems 2 I know exisit and 1 I thought of. They are the rouge tomato Hunt which you head into the sandsea Tomaj does his thing and there is an Error message for the License board tutorial about unlearning the Bangle license to do it goes away it said when you leave the SandSea. You then Hunt the Tomato and every thing goes from there. The second glitch is at the end of the Hunt however you have as Party Leader will replace Vaan as the character for the Flower scene. And that is it except I don't know how this will affect the Zodiac spear Chests since I opened them will they reset since techinacally you haven't been there to get the chests yet or is it not part of the Storyline which this code ONLY resets the storyline. But this code is for those who still want to have everything from the start but not cheated for it which since this Code acts like a New game + I don't see why anyone would have a problem with it they might enjoy getting to crush all those Bosses with ease for once. I still have to do testing for this code such as figure out if the Zodiac spear is affected and so forth before I will give this out with a gurantee and explaination on its ups and downs. I know all Hunts are as completed the same amount as when you reset your storyline so if you have all done they stay done except Rouge tomato which is a Plot point and this is the only one. Stinks because I wanted to fight Gilgamesh again. If anyone with a Cheat device feels they are willing to try this code PM me and I will give it out but until I finish testing it I am NOT responsible for anything that happens when you use it.

Yeah it is a long time i know, i did do alot without gamefaq's though so their was alot of wasted time just exploring places, now i know where everything is my second playthrough should be alot less.

I did use gamefaq's to get weapons though obviously i didnt know what items to sell to make certain weapons appear so if you include that i used gamefaq's lots more times than about 5, i just meant things like espers. Actually i used it more around 10 times lol but with the weapons guide obviously will be alot more.

The only espers i used gamefaq's for were Chaos, and the esper where you need the key to access the barheim passage, sorry cant remember the name. Also to find the fishing rod, something else to do with gilgamesh in barheim passage and a mark i could'nt find. Never once used it for strategys on how to defeat any of the bosse's or marks, tried the 1 for Omega but failed and changed it just after the start. Sochen cave palace hell wyrm door, and i found a map on how to change the course of the waterfalls, some other small things i cant remember.
