barheim key + ithanos = mad money!!! I've made 50,000gil in 25-30min. So get the key(barheim), find the monster(ithanos), steal the sword(deathbringer), grab the loot (treasure chests), save, reload, and do it again!!!!!
bomb king trick = chump change!!!
*You might have a ways to go though I was level 35 and you could problably do it at 30 or less.

I dont know if you could at level 30. I'm 32 and I got my ass kicked in the barheim passage. Then again I'm in a money crisis too, so my equipment sucks

Hunts are good for money, but you only really get so much. Obviously, the ticket is finding easy monsters that drop or you can steal from for Loot. And make sure to raid treasures regularly as well. Oh --- and if you have multiple copies of weapons or armor, etc. sitting around in your inventory and they're weak stuff you don't even need, don't just let them rot there! Sell them off!

So lemme ask a question, are all the items you get from enemies like wolfs hide or whatever Specifically for selling and getting money or are they used for something else. Im about 40-45 and i havent found a use for them yet so im kind of questioning it. If it is just for money, is the same thing for the earth magicite, dark magicite and stuff like that then too?

In general, yes, but there's more to it than that. There are a couple of items that you should hang on to, at least short term, as they are used for sidequests (i.e. - Great Serpentskin). Anything that you absolutely need to keep in order to progress in the storyline will be considered a key item, or will be grayed out in the merchant's "sell" interface (i.e. - Dawn Shard) - you won't be able to sell it.

Other than that though, pretty much all of your loot should be sold to merchants, with the exception of ghysal greens (sp?) if you use the chocobos, and of course teleport stones. If you haven't noticed yet, Bazaar items are made available through the sale of certain combinations of items, and there are plenty of great wares available via the Bazaar.

Yeah, what Bene said. The Great Serpentskin you shouldn't sell, and obviously anything that anybody would ask you to hang onto. Like a package early on in the game that you're supposed to deliver. And later the stuff related to the items requested by Dantros and his wife. Of course, those items it's pretty obvious because they tell you that they want them, but the Great Serpentskin is part of that too and it isn't so obvious. Another one that's grayed out is the Archadian chops --- you can't sell those.

Generally, I like to hang on to one of everything because that's the way I am, but sometimes that can keep you from getting certain Bazaar items, at least in the short term.

Forget a few? I forget half or more of the names of ANYTHING in this one, although i havent had a problem with the main characters names =P. In any case, i merely meant the items you get from battling normal enemies. Besides, i dont really have a money problem anyway, ive bought pretty much everything i can (except of course the useless weapons/armor that would only hurt). I guess thats because i spent a LOT of time grinding in the sandsea and various other places. I've actually gotten a 200-combo in the sandsea and it wasnt very hard, True story - just ask me and ill post the picture i took of it. I actually did get a few more than 200 on the way to a save sphere but i cant back that up with a picture so... I mainly did it because i needed the LP.

Yes, you have to give it to Dantro's wife as part of the Patient in the Desert side-quest. This quest ultimately gets you the Barhiem key, allowing you access to the entirety of Barhiem and the esper Zalera.

The quest can be done without the great serpentskin, but you don't get a bonus item if you don't have it.

if you're referring to the snowy mountain it's actuallly called the Parmina Rift.

anyway the way i made my Gil was to go back to the Golmore Jungle and chain Panther enemies with my weaker characters. as well as giving them a good amount of level, the Panther drops Coeurl Pelts (like any Coeurl type enemy) which can sell fer 465g a pop so by spending like 3-4 hours you'd at least make about i'd say 250,000 or so if you keep selling the Loot to Eruyt Village and going back to the Ozmone Save Point.
plus my weaker characters got to Level 26-27 in roughly around the same time.

Yeah, I'm referring to the snowy mountain. The mountain is parmina rift, and the city on it is Mt. Bur-Omisace, right? It's been a while.
