Well, seeing as my PSP is now a mini PS1 i`ve been getting back to my gaming roots and testing a number of PS1 games. However, i`ve yet to find anything that`s worth a full play through. :(

I want you guys to suggest some PS1 games for me!. It can be any genre so feel free to mention anything that comes to mind.

I agree with Star Ocean: Second Story, also Suikoden II, Vagrant Story and Metal Gear Solid.

Tekken 2/3 for a good ps1 fighting game.
All the Final Fantasy games can be enjoyable to play. For platform games i suggest the spyro the dragon series and crash badicoot. There is CTR which is fun as hell for racing, but you can always play Gran Turismo or Formula 1
Then you have the excellent Resident Evil games and Silent Hill for survival horror.
There is a Castlevania game too. Also Metal Gear Solid, Suikoden 2, Medal of Honour, Rainbow Six. So many options. ;) Im jealous of the psp owners :(

Um Jammer Lammy, this game wins, I have so much fun playing it and it would rock ass on a PSP.

Some other neato titles would be Frogger, Twisted Metal 4, and Tekken 2.

Grandia, Vagrant Story, Legend of Legaia, Pocket Fighters, Street Fighter Alpha 1-3, Castlevania SoTN

Personally, here's what I recommend:

Mega Man X4, for the fun game there is and that so you can laugh at X's voice and Zero's lines.
Wipeout XL, just so you can see what SCE Liverpool was doing back when they called themselves Psygnosis
Einhander, because Square Enix still hasn't made a sequel to that game yet. Probably because they're too busy with Final Fantasy eighty-bajillion.
Intelligent Qube, for the actual gameplay.
Twisted Metal 2: World Tour, because it's fun to blow up other cars.
Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, the game that ROKI was referring to. It's Castlevania done Metroid style!

Legend of the Dragoon of course, lengthy but worth it the MegamanX series, best sidescroller ever, Tekken series, Time Crisis for shooters, anything MGS related, 007 games were ok, G-Police was epic IMO, Resident evil was prime, Syphon Philter, one of my faves, anyting Spyro, and anything Crash Bandicoot. Let's not forget Galerians.

Suikoden is the greatest game series ever and deserves to be played. At least that's my opinion.

The only other games that I really enjoyed that nobody listed are Final Fantasy Tactics, Xenogears, Breath of Fire III. I'm sure I'm forgetting something though.

Try Crash Bandicoot 1 - 2 - 3 ,Crash Team Raçing and Crash Bash.Spyro's games are cool too!MediEvil,Tekken,Looney Tunes Raçing,Tomb Raider,Oddworld...And a lot of others... =)

I've only played a demo of Tombi!/Tomba! and from what I played on that it was a really fun game.

I went as Tomba with a friend for halloween in 6th grade, so I must've liked it.

If you can find some dumps of the net yaroze games, there were a few gems in there including an Action game called Terra incognita (i think)

I'm going to get flamed like no tomorrow, but I'd recommend Courier Crisis. Kind of like the Crazy Taxi games except it's less wacky and feels more serious in gameplay.

Twisted Metal 2 co-op with a friend is also fun.

Now I want to play Tomba..

Cant think of many more good games for PSP, I was a fan of "RPGs" in the PS1 days. I cant see RPGs being too fun on a PSP.

To be honest, the Lost World was (and still is) worth a try. I've poured so many hours into that game. I sold my original copy years ago, and I've been looking for another game in new condition ever since, alas, I have not been successful thus far.

The fighting in Xenogears is cool.

Vagant story is quite scary, I'm not into the whole scary living dead. And the creepy music is well... creepy.

Also, there are some Metal Slug ports (I know only of 1 and X), Tekken, Metal of Hounor, Crash Team Racing, Crash Bush and Tomb Rider.

Denny, if you're into JPop and Eurobeat music, give the Japanese Dance Dance Revolution series a go. Gran Turismo 2 is also good if you like driving sims. I'd also recommend Theme Park World or Theme Hospital for if you're into sim games and don't mind using a D-Pad to control a cursor.
