What character do you pick when you play Diablo 2? I usually pick a paladin or a necromancer. They each have really good abilities; such as the paladin has prayer and the necromancer can summon monsters to help him out which is kool.

I'm a wuss that doesn't like hand to hand combat so I usually choose the sorceress. I've found that the two character classes that tend to help the party out the most are the sorc and the barb, so I just chose the sorc because, like I said, I'm not a fan of melee combat.

Thats kool i just like jumping in and beating the monsters. But melee does get u killed faster so magic is a good idea. I think im gonna start a game with the sorceress now.:eye: :alien:

I'm definitely a paladin/barbarian type. I like Paladin for netplay because everyone gets my aura benefits. But on the other hand, single player, I choose barbarian. Usually, I can just get that whole "wind of death" thing going on my enemies >: )

I'll play as the Druid (LoD expasion) couze he can shapeshift and become stronger he has some great minions to summon and he can use strong elemantal magic.

the sorc is in my opinion the best characther! With spells like static you can kill off enamys easy.

Hahaha...funny story behind this one. I remember when I first played through I was using a sorc (I always used a sorcerer in the first game so I didn't have much trouble starting D2 off with a magic user) and I didn't realize that some enemies get magic resistance and immunity on higher difficulty levels... So I'm going through and I get Frozen Orb up to level 20 and completely neglect to think about Thunderstorm or Hydra, cause hay, I'm doing 400 something-800 something damage with my orb...

Well, I get to Hell diff...and suddenly the zombies are immune to cold... The only thing I had to fight them was my level 10 Firewall, but that was a pain because they always moved too fast for it to do much damage.

Needless to say I found myself start a new character once I got into the Den of Evil and realized that there was a Unique zombie in there I had to kill off which was lightning enhanced...using JUST firewall...

I have a level 90 Sorc that has maxed Ice Orb and Nova and LM. And a level 90 Zon with Eaglehorn Stormshield and 198 Titans and whatnot(I havent played in while so they are all legit) Sorceress is the best to Magic Find with, but Zon is fun to kill peeps with.

I play Morathi the mighty amazon biotch! Online I play Grimgram Dogeater, a barbarian.

I like the sorceress too, but I'd rather be in the thick of it than running away screaming like some scared little girl. The assassin is cool too, but not worth the expansion alone.

Maybe I've just played too much Warhammer, but I think the assassin should be male. The barbarian on the other hand, whould be interesting as a female :) :) :)

Sorceress sucks especially in the beginning, it's nearly imposible not to die every minute.

I use a paladin, and necro.

Pally's kick ass with fanatisizm and Fist/Heavens, only bad this is they suck solo.

Yes, the sorc is hard to use at the beginning, but later on in the game she does more damage faster than any other character, as long as you know how to use her that is.

Like I said before, the sorc is the ultimate defensive character because she is able to fight enemies from a distance AND cause massive amounts of damage at the same time.

Then my choise would be Amazon over Sorceress because she can not ony attack over distances, she can defend over distances with dodge and evade. Though the Assasin is still my 1st choise.
