You're welcome! I used a program called Exact Audio Copy, that rips redbook audio in wav files, & makes sure that they don't have any errors while ripping. And then I do any edits I need to do. Like for instance, some tracks, have some data at the end, so that has to be deleted, or it's pretty harsh on the ears! And then I use one of my various mp3 encoder's, & I try to label them the best I can, without spending my life, trying to find the names of the songs. Then I rar them, & upload them.

And, yes, I think I actually have every Telenet game for the Turbo/PC Engine, & I actually just grabbed all the Cosmic Fantasy's for ripping, before I saw the message you posted! Only thing though, I think there might be some PSG tunes on a couple of the games, so I might have to find some HES files for them, to record the PSG songs. Oh, I'll probably put up Earnet Evans & Annet Again both for Mega/Sega CD :)

I have been listening to the Valis soundtracks and memories of playing Valis 2 and 3 from my childhood have been coming back. I have looked everywhere but no where seemed to have these in mp3 form for the TG/PCE version. Thank you very much again!

Yeah, I have plenty of Telenet stuff:) I had a couple of requests for Exile & Final Zone 2. So I'm ripping those, & I now have ripped all of the CF games. Just gotta go thru them. There are some PSG tracks for CF4, so I'll record those & include them with the rest of the music:)

Keep in mind, there can be other ost's that I will release in between all of the stuff you are requesting. It has alot to do with, what's ready to go, what I have to work on, how much time I have to work on them, etc. I'm also working on songs for a demo of a game we're making for the Turbo CD, so that's eating up my time as well, since I think we're shooting on getting it ready in a month.

Forgotten Worlds is almost ready. The main thing I need to do with that, is get the songs in the right order. There are some games, that I want to spend time on, to make sure everything is in the order you hear it, while playing the game. Others, like Final Zone 2, I don't care so much about getting everything order. New Adventure Island is deffinitly coming, that's one of my favorite hucard ost's!

Had to update Dragon Slayer: Legend of Heroes II, since I found out I was missing some PSG tracks, & I also normalised the volume on all the redbook audio, & since I re-ripped them, I was able to get the names of the songs as well!

hmm sometimes its better to get the music from the original platform it was on, they revise the music sometimes, like for hexen, been waiting to get the soundtrack for the n64 version of it. the playstation one is different i think.

Ok, I'll work on it asap. Though, I probably won't be able to name all the songs, & put them in the correct order, mainly because I've never played thru the entire game.

Do you also have Tiger Heli, Tiger Road and Bravoman? I wasn't sure if you had both Legendary Axes as well...forgot if I asked that before....

I do plan on doing Tiger Heli(I think you mean Twin Cobra?), Tiger Road, & the 2 Legendary Axe's(I actually did them, but, went thru them & want to make better quality versions). Bravoman, however, is a problem. There is no sound test for the game that I know of, & the HES file for it, is missing atleast one of the sound channels! I contacted King Shriek to see if he could try making a new HES file, but, he has yet to get back to me.

Tiger Heli was different from Twin Cobra. I think this was the one that was in the arcades and NES and the TG16. It was a top scrolling shooter, where you obtained smaller helis on your side, front and back that shoot out from different sides.
It was developed by Taoplan and published byTaito. It was the predecessor to Twin Cobra..

Check on wikipedia..it's there....

I just checked wiki, & one of the main things it notes, is that "besides some airplanes taking off, there are no flying enemies in the entire game", & in the game for TG, you flight a whole bunch of flying vehicles. The game on the TG, is called Kyuukyoku Tiger, which translates to Ultimate Tiger, & was released in the US as Twin Cobra, which is the sequal apparently, to Tiger Heli. Unless somehow I missed the real Tiger Heli all these years being on TG. I've never seen a rom or hucard of it, other then ones that always turn out to be Twin Cobra because they were mislabled(roms that is). Anyways, I ripped the ost, & am about to upload it :)

Ghost Manor & Night Creatures are terrible games IMHO. Actually, I went to high school with the son of the guy who did the graphics for Ghost Manor. He did all the sprites & tiles in about 3 months, though, he didn't code the game. And they were only allowed 4 megabits of space. Funny story though, the guy that you play as(Arthur) in Ghost Manor, is infact, my friend's dad William Arthur Huff(goes by Art Huff). Kind looks like him, though, I think he usually wears glasses(in real life), & Arthur is super deformed(big head/small body).

Anyways, I could get the music for Ghost Manor & Night Creatures, IF somebody has done an hes rip of them, I haven't checked. I actually just got back in from Arizona. Somebody I believe recently made an hes file for Turrican, so I can do that one, though the music in that is also, nothing special. Snatcher, I have the original game, & I have the hes file, so I can do all of it(the cd tracks, & the PSG music), though, since I have yet to play thru the game, I don't know how to put all the songs in the right order. Bravoman, was recently re-ripped! So, I ripped the hes file! It turns out the original hes file, was done totally wrong, the file was waaaaay too big, for how much music was actually in the game. Something like, the new hes file, is 32kb, & the old one was 160kb.

And, as for the Dragon Spirit/Saber games, I'll upload everthing I have:)

I've played several hours of CF 3 and 4, and I don't know if it'll be of much help since I last played them more than 7 years ago but let me know if you need help with the tracklist.

Well, I suppose what I could do, if you're willing, is get them uploaded, & then give you the links to download them, & you can go thru the songs, & see, if at the least, put them in the correct order as they appear in the games, but if you can think of names for them(some like Title, or Battle Theme, Town, etc. are easy). Then you can send me the tracklisting, & I'll reupload them with the new names & in the correct order. Would you be up for that?

Oh, & I should mention, I'm currently working on the Turbo Grafx version of Popful Mail right now. Basically, I'm playing thru the game(with the help of a walkthru since it's in Japanese) & naming all the songs, not to mention recording the PSG music as well, as I play. Not sure how long it'll take me, but, I am deffinitly working on it.

I wonder if that Twin Bee you've got is the one I'm thinking about. But I'll download it and try!

The Twin Bee that came out for the Turbo, has the full name of Detanna! Twin Bee I believe. I think it's technically the 2nd Twin Bee game in the series, with the first game on the NES, known in the US as Stinger IIRC.

You're welcome! I used a program called Exact Audio Copy, that rips redbook audio in wav files, & makes sure that they don't have any errors while ripping. And then I do any edits I need to do. Like for instance, some tracks, have some data at the end, so that has to be deleted, or it's pretty harsh on the ears! And then I use one of my various mp3 encoder's, & I try to label them the best I can, without spending my life, trying to find the names of the songs. Then I rar them, & upload them.

And, yes, I think I actually have every Telenet game for the Turbo/PC Engine, & I actually just grabbed all the Cosmic Fantasy's for ripping, before I saw the message you posted! Only thing though, I think there might be some PSG tunes on a couple of the games, so I might have to find some HES files for them, to record the PSG songs. Oh, I'll probably put up Earnet Evans & Annet Again both for Mega/Sega CD :)

What's the difference between the two Ys IV soundtracks? Does the PS2 game Mask Of The Sun have a revamped version of the Dawn Of Ys music or is it a whole new soundtrack?

The PS2 version, is in no way revamped. Dawn of Ys blows away the PS2 music, as the PS2 version, simply uses the PS2's onboard sound chip, & the music was recomposed for the PS2 version, by Taito.

Dawn of Ys however is almost all redbook audio, with guitar's & vocal's, etc., & composed by the legendary Ryo Yonemitsu. Some of the tracks in Dawn of Ys, use the onboard sound chip of the Turbo, but most songs don't, so it's actually way better quality then the PS2 version(as I say, DoY even has live instruments). But, the PS2 version is there for anyone who wants it.

I'm working on getting the SNES version as well, which, in some ways, I like better then the PS2 version. There's also one more version floating around, for the original Ys IV, which was never released, but I believe it was for the X68000.

Also, I have a feeling, since the true Ys IV, never got released, that Falcom will someday, remake it for current PC's, just like they did with remaking Ys 3 into Oath in Felghana.

I like all the tracks but some of my favourite are the intro and first level themes. Chris H�lsbeck is a great composer in his own right. The OST for Shadow of the Beast version Turbo Graft CD is nonetheless, I'd dare to say, better than the Amiga version. Oustanding! Thanks a lot for these great game music collection of yours. By the way, I have a request to make, if I may. Does anybody have the album Konami Amusement Sounds Autumn '93? It I'm not mistaken it contains the OST for Konami's bet 'em up Metamorhic Force, with such awesome tunes like Frozen Ground from the Ice Stage. I've ripped some musics from an emulator but the quality sound is far from being perfect. Please, can anybody upload these great and yet so hard-to-find OST.

I am just waiting for the Last alert and LOTRS which I know will take a while but I know it will be worth the wait.

Well, I haven't heard back from King Shriek, on if he can rip the pcm(cartridge) music from LOTRS. He sometimes is hard to get to respond. I've tried to record all of the pcm music by playing the game in ME, but, there's one song that I recall I wasn't able to get the full song of, so....I'm not sure what to do about that one.

On Last Alert, I might just go ahead & do that one tonight or tommorrow. Basically, I just need to rip the music, & put it in order & name all the songs appropriately as possible.

I ripped the music of Gradius 2 from my Turbo Grafx/PC Engine CD. I don't have any way to rip a PSP ost. Plus, I think there might be some extra songs in there, since IIRC, there's an extra level in the Turbo Grafx version of Gradius 2.

just a heads up, some of the links begging towards the top, such as blazing lazers aren't working.

I don't have a way to rip music from arcade games(with a few exceptions, like Ninja Spirit, where I was able to play the game, & find spots, where there were no enemies onscreen), so, no I can't, sorry. And, I just checked Blazing Lazers, & it's working just fine for me. Maybe File Factory was having some problems.

Well, I own alot of the Ys stuff, & I own almost every single US & Japanese CD game. Plus, I'm able to rip music from HES files(that's where I get all the chip music), though, there's still quite a few games with chip music, that haven't been turned into HES files unfortunatly, but, I'm trying to get upload everything I can get together.

At one point I ripped mp3s of Neutopia I & II, Splatterhouse, and R-Type from the HES files. Hoooooly crap that took a long ass time. But setting the loop points is essential. If you're out listening on an mp3 player, you can't be bothered with taking it out of your pocket every time a song has looped too many times and you're sick of it.

So thanks again for all the hard work. This stuff makes me happy :)

Well, some of them do have a playlist, so, that helps, but, there's quite a few that don't, so, I have to go in & edit the number of loops as you said. And you're welcome! :)

For hucard games, I just record the HES files, for CD games, I rip them using Exact Audio copy.

how do you record HES music? do you use Winamp or some kind of audio logging program?

I used Winamp, & I think I had to download a plugin called NEZplug or something like that, (it's been awhile since I did it) to get it to play HES, NSF, SPC, etc.

I relaly do love these uploads, they really saw soemthing about how the Turbo Graph console still managed to put to shame some of the most advanced consoles quality of audio music to shame for more then a decade.

Well, it looks like all my music is gone, or atleast, temporarily. My drive I use for all music, including music I've made over the past 15+ years, is totally inacessible. My computer isn't finding my profile, & because of that, is shows my drive with all my music, as having 0 bytes used & 0 bytes available. I'm hoping my friend Brandon will be able to figure out the problem, & recover all my music. Most of the music I have on that drive, can never be replaced, so, I pray he can figure something out!

I didn't see your threads, so I posted my own Rayxanber's, including Rayxanber 1 for FM Towns! I also posted Macross 2036. Steam Hearts, Cho Aniki & Ai Cho Aniki coming really soon. I'll see if I can do Legion. Even though it's a cd game, it's mostly psg/chip music, with the boss music being cd music.

Edit-Ok, I checked out Legion again, I will do it. The psg music is terrible (as is the game itself), as it's not even in stereo, but, oh well. I'll play thru the game again, record all the music, & document where the music is used ingame.

It's kind of frusterating, knowing that there's more music then what I can get. Namely, the defeated music, I can't get the entire song. I'm assuming at some point, the song has a chance to play all the way thru, but, I'm not sure when.

And here is Lemmings, but, be aware that the opening song, is kind of buggy. I own the original game, & the music on one speaker, just sounds wierd for a little while in the song, almost as if it was adpcm being used, instead of Redbook, but, it's deffinitly Redbook audio. I haven't been able to confirm if anyone else's original copy does this, but, I did at one time find a rip of the game, & downloaded it, & sure enough, it had the same problem. Anyways, here ya go:
