Hi guys I'm new to this forum. I was hoping that someone had a way of me downloading the PC version of Final Fantasy 8. I know theres torrents but I can't seem to use them that well. I would have bought the original but I live in New Zealand and it never seemed to make it here. I would be much obliged if someone could help me. . . thanks

You do know that it's illegal right? If they catch you downloading the game, they will own your ass.

Why don't you buy it online? The game is readily available in almost any online store. =)

That's a pretty insignificant thing to state, as most games goes out of print at one point. The game was released here as well, but it's virtually impossible to find these days.

I was just stating that it was released in Australia and New Zealand around that time, that's all. Nowadays, trying to find FFVII or FFVIII PC versions, you'd be better off looking for a white grain of sand, in a field of yellow sand, almost impossible.

Still... you may find someone on eBay who is selling them.

Do you even know how to play it after you download the torrent? That's probably why it's not working for you then.

Mine on Torrent doesn't even start downloading.

I got mine from torrentspy.com and it came with the patches and it works like a charm.

Not really, you can find PC versions of FFVIII for $20 on ebay; That's how I got mine. =D (I think it's bootleg though since it was from singapore, but hey, works just like the regular one: Smooth with no glitches.)

The one's I saw were between $30-$50. That's overpriced every way you look at it.

The users on Amazon selling the game arent scammers, i've bought a fair few games and they get the game out to you properly and quickly.

Also apparently the torrent version of the game crashes at the part were you're in space (not exactly a spoiler).

That was a bug that the patch that came with my game fixed. So nothing is wrong with my game. Maybe it depends on your computer?

Yeah the guys at Amazon are really good. I buy loads from there and I've had no problems with 'em.
I never knew the torrent version would crash. I've actually given up on downloading it anyway. I'm buying it from amazon as soon as I get paid for my paper round. It took too long to download and now I know it crashes. Thanks for the info.

Oh yeah. It came out with a patch for that.
And you don't need to burn them to CD-Rs if you don't want to. I just mount the image on one of my virtual drives.

Is this the same crash that is suppose to happen after the CGI of Squall and Rinoa boarding the Ragnarok? if so it still happens to me even after installing the patch...
