Yeah, I'm a poet sometimes... published in a few places, but never wanted to take it to anything big. I'm also the writer for our little band... I mainly write what I feel, or about a situation in the way that I see it. However, I'm a very confused, sick, weird, and twisted person sometimes....so some of my stuff can be considered uh....deep and confusing or just like huh? But that's what makes it amusing sometimes. I guess that's why I got published.... *shrugs*

I'll start out with a little lyric I wrote for Dragon Ball Z. My favourite character is Garlic Jr., of course ^^ I like demented demonic midgits, yes. This song is titled Dead Zone, after his ultimate attack, and described the feeling of being trapped over and over again....unable to break the boring chain of failure.

Dead Zone:

Not really...I've never written a song about satan before. But since you like Japanese lyrics, here are some. I'm sure I twisted some words around wrong, but I had to so I could make them fit with the tune. I'll also do a beefed up translation so you'll know what the freak I sing about when I do Japanese stuff.

This is one of my babies (what I call a song I write that I thoroughly put my heart and soul into). It tells of a love unspoken because of fear, a love that is going nowhere, but one that is bound to blossom someday. For now, the person speaking through the lyric is just running along with her lover, but not really knowing how to express herself/himself. It was actually written for Garlic Jr. to begin with, but it can be applied anywhere.

This is one of our softer pieces...it was actually written for a school project my brother had, regaurding a book he read called Mystery Walk. Th ebook is about strangers having to come together to fight a shape-shifting demon.

This one was written for my brother's favourite character, a man who could see when and how poeple were to die before they actually did die. He uses the fear of death and his knowlege to confront the demon with his friend. His mother always told him to walk the stright path, to never fear anything no matter how horrible it looks to be. In the book, he refers to his friend as the Eagle, a valiant, noble being...and the demon as a Snake. Thus we see some of the battle elements at the end of the book here, through the eyes of this wonderful character. In the end, he knows his friend is to die in battle... but he faces it no matter what, and prevails... His friend dies as the demon does, the Eagle risking its life to defeat the evil Snake. Even as this is playing out, the character who sees death all around him walks the fateful path that destiny has chosen for him.

It is also symbolical, a message saying use the words of the wise, and follow your heart and destiny no matter what hardships may come.

evanesce kind of comes out of nowhere here... It works with the meter and tempo and the flow of the verse, but I'm sure you could think of a better word there, since the rest of the language in this is fairly simple. This word stuck out as kind of coming out of nowhere, although it makes sense in the context.

I find these rhymes to be unoriginal, and cliched. Flies/dies, face/grace, it's just kind of dull....

The chorus is pretty decent, although kind of insipid at the same time. Not a bad piece, but I personally think it could be much better...

Yeah, I was trying to go for simple mostly, because it was for my brother... and for his school and he was only like 12 at the time...so I didn't want him to take it up there and people be like huh? lol However, some of my sophisticated words just popped out, cause I usually write more sophisticated anyhow.

And it doesn't bother me with the rhymes. I just used words that actually rhyme so the song could have a means of flow, which I succeeded at. Of course you wouldn't know because you haven't heard us perform it, but yeah LOL I'm not afraid to use simple rhymes. Sometimes, especially in this case, it is better than trying to rhyme ridiculous words.... the main point here was feeling, not structure, though simplicity was taken in consideration.

it just makes the lyric uninteresting, not necessarily bad, is all.

Well the fact that I wrote it at 12 am the day before he turned it in, and I wrote it, made the music, and recorded us performing it all in a matter of 20 minutes might be a major factor LOL It's actually one of my favourite pieces we perform....I like singing it. Very catchy kekeke
