The soundtrack has never been officially released. However, if you guys are still looking for it, you can download it here: downloads.*********.com/game-soundtracks/album/omikron-the-nomad-soul-rip-
The 46 tracks (including David Bowie's songs) are downloadable one by one but I guess it's better than nothing (if you want to download the full OST at once, you'll have to do a contribution to the site).
Note: Bowie's songs were released on his "Hours..." album, though in reworked versions.

EDIT: OK, apparently this site automatically censors links to other sites. Stupid. The censored part is "k h i n s i d e r", without the quotes and spaces. It's the only way I could force the site not to censor it. Enjoy!

The soundtrack has never been officially released.

Actually the soundtrack has been released titled "David Bowie - Omikron The Dreamers", but it was one of those ultra-rare releases and the information online about it is almost nonexistent.

This is the cover, which came from here:

And this is a torrent link, someone released a lossless FLAC rip of the disc, but it hasn't been seeded for a long time and I'm stuck at 23.9%.
Download David Bowie - Omikron [FLAC] Torrent - KickassTorrents.com (http://www.kickasstorrents.com/david-bowie-omikron-flac-t566715.html)

There was another website, that would let you download this album in mp3, I've downloaded it some time ago and have it somewhere, will upload it if I can find it.

And i did a complete game rip, it was around 150 tracks if i remember correctly, also on my external hard drive, will look it up.

Yeah I know, I'm stuck at 23.9% too! But an existing CD doesn't mean it's official. And, judging by the poor quality of the cover and the lack of company names next to the copyright, this is obviously a bootleg. Not to mention that it's written "unofficial soundtrack" in the booklet... Anyway, the problem with this soundtrack is that it doesn't contain all the songs of David Bowie (only 2/8). It includes, however, some of the material written by Reeves Gabrels which is missing from the rip I was talking about yesterday, so I'd be grateful if you could upload it when you find it.

About the K h i n s i d e r rip: I listened to it yesterday night and I'm sad to say the quality is somewhat crappy! First, it's in low-bitrate mp3, somewhere between 128 and 192 kbps depending on the tracks, and you can hear a digitalisation effect in the lower ones. And, more importantly, there is a clearly audible overall saturation and the sound is literally drowned in the bass frequencies. I don't know what the ripper had in mind, but he clearly fucked it up!
MiL, if your rip is better than this one (which isn't hard), I want it. Badly.

Oh crap, with everything going on lately I totally forgot about this thread. Sorry, will find my rip and up here. I was dealing with PC version which comes on 3 discs and the audio files are definately better in quality then Dreamcast. As far as i recall the audio was a type of ADPCM format and when uncompressed, becomes WAV.
And is better the K h i n s i d e r's rip for sure.

No problem: I've been wanting this OST for 12 years, I can wait a little while longer! Thanks anyway, I'm looking forward to have news from you again...

Ok, so here it is, a complete PC game rip, 145 tracks, the original game's files were uncompressed to .WAV and than simply converted to .FLAC using dBpoweramp.

Don't be surprised that they are completely untagged, since thats exactly how it was in game's folder.

Omikron:The Nomad Soul [PC] ( Game Rip ) Soundtrack [FLAC].part1.rar (400 MB)

Omikron:The Nomad Soul [PC] ( Game Rip ) Soundtrack [FLAC].part2.rar (104.82 MB)
http://www.multiupload.com/O4SHSUF7QJ (http://www.multiupload.com/O4SHSUF7QJ)

Also including that bootleg "Omikron - The Dreamers" CD in mp3 VBR. I downloaded it a while ago, but now can't seem to track down the site again.
It's missing track 5 because the link for it was broken even back then.
Omikron - The Dreamers [mp3].rar (77.24 MB) http://www.multiupload.com/W0QYCCGAGV (http://www.multiupload.com/W0QYCCGAGV)

Too bad we are late for the torrent, really would like to have this rarity in lossless, and I doubt it will be seeded in the future, but oh well.

Personal favorite track would be 'Anekbah' theme.

Hello, I've just been searching for the Omikron OST too. I'm going to try the David Bowie version, meanwhile the files you uploaded on multiupload are unfortunately off as multiupload doesn't exist anymore.

Could you re-up them ?

Ehm..I do not know. Its full game rip, not official soundtrack. You can make your own titles. :)
Composer is Xavier Despas and additional soundtrack - David Bowie.

Though most tracks are composed by Xavier Despas, some are by Reeves Gabrels.

Awesome. I've just been getting back into this game--playability issues notwithstanding--and am thrilled to check out the soundtrack. Seems lots of the tracks are shorter bits, or mood music to accompany different areas. I might try and edit some of those together to form a longer medley of the better atmospheric stuff. I'd love to see the game re-released with a "real" soundtrack, but this will do for now. Thanks!

Hi I'm searching for the Flac release of the 145 tracks archive that was posted a while ago.

Impossible to find a link or torrent for it!

It's WAV, not FLAC. I have it stashed somewhere on one of my HDs. If MiL or DocRipper don't reup it first, I'll do it when I find it. Watch this space!

Oops, sorry, I totally forgot! OK, let me get my hands on it, it might take some time but I'll retrieve it eventually. By the way, Bowie's songs were reworked for the Hours album, these are not the same versions as the game's. Notably, the word "Omikron" in the chorus to New Angels of Promise was replaced by "Suspicious minds."

The link works, at least. I haven't been able to make the Mega page itself work, though, but it's probably a problem on my end: I'm currently having a few browser issues.

So, we can all do this ourselves, right? It isn't really crucial, then. Yet, what would like is that Dreamers bootleg, if it contains anything new, like tracks that didn't make it to the game.

Since I have both versions of the game, PC (GOG) and Dreamcast, I'll try comparing them and post my own rip (if I find any differences, e.g. more than 145 tracks). The Dreamcast version also has a CDDA (well, a GDDA) track or two. I never played the DC version, but forums say it's either played on special occasions in game, or doesn't play at all...
