Here's a picture from early last summer when I liked to cheat on people's faces, anyway I'm posting this because I think the lighting is a little bit more " special " than what I've previously shown.

This was done on about half of a piece of paper and the scan is a little crappy but it came out ok. Still looks better in person.

What do you think?

It's the "oh gosh" picture

Thats good. Nicely done, cool and neat to look at. Should keep up the great art work.:)

thats good.

but why is it blue? did you draw it like that, or did that happen while scanning?

But the shading is nice. The foreground detailing is also good, but the background looks like its part of the foreground.

And the fully shadowed guy with the gun(or smokey object) wouldn't be fully shadowed. But thats artistic license I suppose. I had been looking for the wall, but then I realized it was actually someone instead of a shadow.

Very sharp picture, and this was almost a year ago.

Yup, it's good. I like the style. It's not my favorite style but I have to admit that it look really good. I know good art when I see it.

That's cool.
Looks like you used the same machanical pencil that architects use.

I must admit, though, that the figure on the left is done with a different style inferred by the shadowy figure on the right.

They both look cool, and there's no reason why you can't use more than one style in a pic.

Yeah, that's a sweet pic, Ktulu!

:D

thanks for the comments guys. I know the background is too dark I hadn't learned to keep them light when I drew this.

Also, I was having trouble drawing the guy with the gun like object the way I wanted so I just made him a silhouette.

If I had actually succeeded in drawing him the way I imagined there would be no difference of style in the picture..

and I was 15 at the time....so hey!

I like it hella lot...but as you say the sky needs some work along with that guy in the dark...I think all he needed is a few light highlights, and the sky just needs some smoothining, the darkness is good for the picture..maybe some cloud texture or somthing.

The shading is a good style, you dont want it to be just like everyones. that guys arm is realy cool too. lol I dont know why I just realy like it.

Thanks a lot guys. See, I can look at something from last year and KNOW what I should have done to it... so that shows I'm already a better artist in the first 3 months of this year :)

I'm gonna work on a lot of new stuff this year and post it for all to see! Maybe someone will be impressed.

out of curiosity, who voted for this as an "average" drawing? Just kind of want to know why, I'm not big on myself but I don't see many 15 year olds drawing stuff like this

Very nice Ktulu... a "happy fun shack" indeed :D . It was all drawn very nicely.. the only thing that I think "distracts" me a bit is the sky (if that is supposed to be the sky.) I think if those lines were either lighter or not there at all, it would be rockin' ;) . Very nice overall though. Thumbs up!

It's nice...the shading is really exceptional, but was it originally blue? Nice!
