Recently in a issue of Shounen Jump Square-Enix announce three games as part of the Ivalice Alliance and this is the last of them. A platform wasn't stated in the magazine for this game but Square-Enix has just cleared up at the Jump Festa that this game will be for the Nintendo DS. No other details, pictures, etc. were given at the event.

To be honest, the first game didn't really do anything for me. Perhaps this game will make me change my mind.

Wouldn't this be the fourth of the Ivalice Alliance? I mean, wasn't Final Fantasy XII in Ivalice as well?

Just to clear this up, Final Fantasy Tactics A2 was announced at the Jump Fiesta, with details to follow in NEXT month's Shounen Jump.

The system that it is on has yet to be disclosed; I suggest you check your facts. Also, as this game is unreleased, it belongs in the Final Fantasy XIII and Beyond section.

In the lastest issue of Jump the platform in undisclosed, but at Jump Festa Square-Enix said it would be on the DS. No big site is reporting on it yet, but various creditable sources have confirmed it so far.

http://nenryoubbs.blog.shinobi.jp/Entry/343/ (Shinobi has revealed many games early as well including the recent FFXII:RW and FFT PSP)

I doubt any big site will confirm it until there is some form of media on the title or a PR from S-E.

Jftr, your multi-lingual sites don't impress me. Considering both amount to little more than opinion blogs.

Once again, all accurate sources covering the jump fiesta say that FFTA2 has not been announced for any system. There is a 99% chance it will be on the DS (because unless i'm mistaken, the 'A2' is a reference to Final Fantasy Tactics Advance, indicating it will be a sequel to that title), but until Square Enix announces it, it is not fact.

Alright then, a more creditable source confirming the exact same thing:

If you still don't believe me then I suppose I'm barking up the wrong tree as you won't be convinced otherwise until S-E issues a PR them-selves.

Game Watch is good enough for me.

Also: Final Fantasy Tactics Advance was my favourite GBA game. I can't wait for this! Unfortunately, the article said it hasn't even begun production, so it probably won't see an English release until late 2008 :(
