no like FFIX or World of Warcraft, you know, something that requires an internet connection... or at least a game with an online rpg, massively multiplayer option... or... something...

In order to keep massively multiplayer online rpgs interesting, they need to be constantly changing; new content needs to be added, and when that content is added, the new resources need to be provided to the client.

That's the reason why we don't have many MMOs on consoles - when FF11 came out on the PS2, it came WITH a hard drive. We'll probably see more on the X360 and PS3 due to their internal HDs this generation, but there won't be any handheld MMOs until the next handheld generation, probably.

I don't see that happening any time soon. I can't see Nintendo overhauling the obligatory friend code system, so that seems quite unlikely. Of course, there is the possibility, however miniscule it may be.

Nintendo can't handle World of Warcraft. They're not cool enough.

I don't see MMORPGs comming to handhelds at all really. For MMO gaming you need a keyboard for starters to be able to properly communicate, but also to individualize your game. You need to be able to set a buttload of shortcuts (which is not able with like four buttons). And I don't think a MMO game would give the same kind of feeling you would get from either a computer or a TV screen as far as console gaming goes.

The screen is a bit small though, i mean if it was a true MMORPG people would be spending half a day every day staring at a tiny screen. GLASSES ARE THE NEW COOL ^_^

Yea like they all said, the DS couldn't handle an MMORPG. And IF they somehow did it would suck so freakishly bad it's not even funny.

Ok, they're MMOs, but once again, they're shitty MMOs that no one cares about. So it doesn't matter.
