The original Final Fantasy Tactics is being remade for the PSP! This will probably be fairly similar to the Valkyrie Profile remake they did a while back, but unlike VP, which was a niche game, FF Tactics is an awesome game that we never got in Australia. I can't wait to play it, considering the 100+ hours i've sunk into FF Tactics Advance.

Considering I've played the original FFT for well over 200 hours per save game (I've played through about four times now) this is awesome news.

I reckon the PSP is capable of playing a real time stratergy Final Fantasy. Would be really interesitng ^_^

I wouldn't count on it. A lot of titles don't get released in PAL territories; considering the original Valkyrie Profile never was released, it's possible that the remake won't get released.

Ughhhhh no, no. Here come the nightmares. One of the only reasons I bought a PSP is bcause they were making Final Fantasy games for it and I hate Tactics! (I'm going to buy it anyways). I'd be satisfied if they remade any of the I-X for PSP. I would've liked a version of XII on it. At least there's some activity going on but I want more! Not Tactics! How about they make an updated version of IX or X? I'm going to go cry in my room now and lock the door.

well I just downloaded the video from youtube for my psp so yay! as for the animation... I understand thats actual game graphics, (but not when you actually play it), not video. WOW! This is the only GAME to have ever kept me up until 9am the next day so double WOW! and to also emphasize how much I love this game and that this is 1 of my 3 favorite FF games, (tied with FF6 and FF12), I proudly own this...



*sighs* I just wish they didn't change the logo in the title in this new version, but oh well.

No it wouldn't. Real-time strategy games are: Starcraft, Warcraft, Homeworld, etc. If you remember how awful Starcraft on the N64 was, you'll see why RTS games don't belong on a console if there's no keyboard and mouse to play it with.

They just announced FFT will have a Player vs. Player mode.


As the PSP version of Final Fantasy Tactics draws closer to its Japanese release, more details are being released about the changes in place and the additions Square Enix is making to the now-classic Ivalice adventure.

A new Player vs. Player mode has been introduced, and the winner of each match can be rewarded with a bevy of treasure chests. Players will also be able to set up battles in Tactics on maps of their choosing, and even set up detailed battle rules and restrictions for individual encounters.

There's no North American release date for The Lion War just yet, but check back frequently for more updates on Square Enix's portable Final Fantasy Tactics.

Unless they add like the Holy Knight Garamond to the game and make him a really important character. And then you have the Dark Knight Garnada along with Dark Wizard Melduga and Temple Princess Elizabeth and Cyber Warrior Renegard.

The only way your party would beat mine is if somehow your Ramza summoned a pokemon. Because you beating me is impossible just like summoning a pokemon in a FF game.

Cloud was a part of the original Final Fantasy Tactics story, so I was curious about who they'd bring to the remake. I'm glad it's Balthier.
