hi, I have just got a copy of ff8 and i have installed the nvidia patch, but when
i play the game there are black squares in places on the screen. does any body know how i can fix this problem... ps i have an Nvidia ge-force 6800le.

OS: XP Pro (a bit of a dodgy copy)
CPU: Sempron (upgrading to an Athlon 64 x2 socket am2)
RAM: 1GB

et --- just look for your "User CP" on the left menu. You can find options within there to send private messages. You can also send a private message by clickng on someone's username and using the dropdown from there.

I used to do the same thing and it sucks ass.

I've got the same problem with the black blocks all over the place. I'm using an evga geforce 7600 gs, tried both patches ff8sqeanvpatch.zip and ff8sqeapatch.zip and neither fixed the problem. Am I doing something wrong or is my vid card too new for the game?

Who knows. The 2 patches that were uploaded should've fixed the problem. So maybe you're doing something wrong because those are the patches I use and are recommended for all PCs....so I've heard. Not sure about the new Vista though.
