I'd bet ten bucks the Sony receiver pictured here didn't see the Wii remote coming, mostly because Sony receivers don't have eyes. Seriously though... I don't know what part of this story I find funnier: the obvious microcosm of the Sony/Nintendo conflict - or - that the "receiver" couldn't handle the throw. Yeah I said it, I went there. Don't tell me someone didn't expect that.

HAHAHA....

Too realistic for some people ;) Well you just have to wear the wrist strap and get used to it

Wonder how many of them tried blaming Nintendo for their broken TVs and windows?

I'm so worried about either the princess or myself doing something like that. God, if we accidentally shot a remote through the window we could kill somebody... we live on the 40th floor :-).

I'm sure quite a lot of people will blame Nintendo for it and all of them will say that the strap string is too weak. It may be, but Nintendo clearly provides a disclaimer before playing every Wii game to hold onto the Wii mote tight and securely.

It's not like nobody has ever thrown a controller before the Wii came out anyway.

Well for me, it means that people may be blowing this out of proportions, and trying to use the weak string as an excuse instead of their carelessness.

I totaly agree with you. It appears most of these people are also adults and not unsupervised kids. They all deserve to have busted TV's and windows.

TK was talking about intentionally throwing controllers, though.

Also, pay attention to the thread title.

I'm not TK. Hence why I gave my opinion and said 'Well for me'

Yeah, gamers are generally idiots? That's already apparent. No big shock. The fact that they won't say they were careless is more proof of that.

Umm. How would you know what I was talking about?

I was not talking about intentionally throwing controllers. It's very common for people to swing their arms around while playing video games as if there were some kind of motion sensing going on. I have seen them get thrown before. Only reason we're hearing about this now is because the Wii controller actually does have motion sensing going on.

As much as I hate to reference Penny Arcade on a message board, Penny Arcade had <a href=http://www.penny-arcade.com/comic/2006/11/29>a really great comic about this</a>. Totally sums it up, if you ask me. I wish they'd done it in full color.
