Following the trend of all the other Millionaire games in the other FF forums, I thought I'd set one up for FFX-2. You all know the idea behind this, you get a question and four possible answers, the questions increase in difficulty the more questions you get right. There are a total of 15 questions and after 5 questions and 10 questions there is a milestone where that amount of gil is safe, no matter what happens. The gil ladder is as follows:

You have 3 lifelines: 50:50, Search google and Ask the Experts. 50:50 removes 2 incorrect answers leaving the correct answer and one incorrect answer. Search google is literally what it says it is and ask the experts is where I send a PM to a team of previously selected individuals who class as experts on FFX-2 and await their reply.

To decide who's in the hotseat, we play fastest finger first, so whoever posts in the quickest time by following the instructions in this post will be in the hotseat first and playing for a virtual 1 million gil.

The only thing is --- I think those last two answers can actually be reversed. Because you get both of them in Chapter 3, if I'm not mistaken. Trainer is acquired from Kimahri if you chose the right options in Chapters 1 and 2. And Samurai is lying around in the Kilika Temple if I'm not mistaken. And the game's structure lets you visit either location first.


As for "Songstress," it's not really "acquired" as such. It's automatic. But ah well.

The last two dont really have any definiative order. They can both be got at the same time. So it kinda voids the question.

I don't think it voids the question per se, because with a Fastest Finger, the winner is the first person who gets any correct answer. I mean, if it were the actual game, then having two possible correct answers / answer sets would definitely be a problem. But in this case, it's whoever is first anyway, so even if someone else rung in with a different but still correct answer, they would be out of the running.

Both of you are correct, there are two orders as the Trainer and Samurai dresspheres can both be obtained in chapter 3 or 5. So as Agent0042 was the first to get it right, I guess he's in the hotseat.

Prak was first to reply and sounded fairly confident with his answer:
Prak: "It is possible to achieve 100% in a single playthrough, but only if you give the Awesome Sphere to the Youth League. Therefore, the answer is A."

Next was Agent0042. He also sounded confident being the mod of the FFX-2 forum:
Agent0042: "I am 100% sure the answer is A) 1. As the mod of the FFX-2 section, this comes up pretty much all the time really. 100% can be attained in one playthrough, but I have always recommended against it because if you only do that, you miss out on stuff and really, it's much easier to just get it in two playthroughs."

Finally, Gummi Bears replied, offering a different answer:
Gummi Bears: "Well I believe I managed it after playing it through twice. So I will say B:2"

And those are your choices. Remember you don't have to go with any of the experts, and you can choose C or D if you wish.

Prak and Agent0042 were correct, as well as yourself. 1 time through is the right answer. As Agent0042 said however, it's easier to do it 2 times through.

That's correct. Recoil is the only one that cannot be oversouled. It appears in Shinra's Bestiary as a "Common Subject".

Now this is a crucial question. If you get this right, you will definitely go away with at least 32,000 gil. However get this wrong and you drop 15,000 back down to the 1,000 gil. Good luck, here's your question.

Darkness Dance is the ability that is already known before you even start using the dressphere. Unfortunately, this also means you drop back down to 1,000 gil. Well, I suppose it's better than nothing.

Nope, Darkness Dance. Sing raises your stats or lowers enemy stats. Dance causes status changes. And who says they're not all real ones anyway, HP Handjive :rolleyes:
