why do they make so many different final fantasys i mean like there are so many off side stories and all that kinda stuff

and also where can i get a list of the ones released in the USA?

Usually, none of the Final Fantasies have stories or worlds in common; each new numbered game is a completely new world. There have been sequels (Final Fantasy X-2 was the sequel to Final Fantasy X) and spin-off games (Final Fantasy VII: Dirge of Cerberus is set in the world of Final Fantasy VII), but usually the worlds are completely new, with similar elements (same magic, basic fighting principles, enemies/allied creatures, etc).

Every Final Fantasy game is a pretty long list; but every numbered Final Fantasy has now been released. All games before VII are 2D top-down RPGs; the Nintendo DS version of FF3 is a 3D remake, though. Below is a list of available titles:

For such a know-it-all, you're not that bright. Squeenix doesn't even consider those games "true" FF's.

It might have something to do with the fact that due to huge popularity, SE are guaranteed to make a lot of money. Even in the early days, FF games have always sold in huge numbers.

It's simple, as long as the demand is there, FF won't be going anywhere.
