Okay, so I was playing last night and after taking down a Mark, the moogle asked me to go get a diary and bring it back. It gave me option to read it, but I didn't --- duh. (That's an obvious no-no.) But curiosity will kill the cat --- anyone know what happens if you do read that diary, or if you lie about it?

Ah yes, Pilka's diary?

I am also very wary of every little thing in FF games since we all know how big of an impact some inane thing can cause. Though, as far as the diary, it doesn't matter. You can read it, then simply lie to Pilka, and she'll still give you the better armor.

Just make sure you DON'T answer that you read it. ;-)

Oh, LOL. Heh. Next time, I'm finding out what's in that diary. So what happens if you do say you read it? You said "better armor" --- you'd still get an armor, but a lesser one if you did?

Yeah, I think if you said you read it, you get a Kilmaweave (or something like that, haha) Shirt, which is weaker than whatever she gives you if you respond with "I did nothing".

It's all in the sidequests section of the guide under "Pilka's Request"...or something like that, lol.

Though, I completed this part before I realized it was in the sidequests section, and now I wish I had read that diary, lol.

Yeah, I think that's what Alexandria was trying to tell me. That's what I plan to do next time.

(Well, whenever that is, given how gosh-darn big this game is.)
