i might be makeing a big mistake by doing this... considering the last time i tried talking about halo i kick off, but anyway.

so, i reserved my copy of halo3 the other day at my local gamestop. surpriseingly, you can get three.*(?) the regualr halo3 ( which is what i got because im cheep), the speacial addition on which yea comes with different case and features and thing, but! you can also get the legendary one. wwich comes with your very own spartan helmet. i dont know if you can actually weaar it or not though. it be cool if you could(i hope i xcan get a job and a spaer 100 dollars later on). but yea, i cant fieaking wait for this thing to be relaesed! i've read all the books so i know the complete story line up to now. and its driving be isainly crazy to now what happens. so, is there any one here who is going to get the thrid halo?any halo realted topocs? any thing and im open. as just a side note, the latest book: the ghosts of onyx; is really good. and sad. theres only a few spartans left.

the helmet isn't actually life size. You might be able to have a baby wear it, but.. that's about it.

While I liked the first two Halos, the trailer for Halo3 looked terrible.

It's pretty stupid to base the game off that trailer, which was basically just a "Hey, look how pretty the game is on X360!" moment. It was just a teaser, which didn't show any gameplay at all.

That said, Halo 3 has some pretty stiff competition from Gears of War at the moment.

I'm diggin' Gears of War myself. Chainsaw bayonate....how's that for original? Probably the best graphics I've seen thus far in an Xbox 360 game. The switch between gameplay and cinemas are seamless! Story isn't good as HALO and characters aren't quite as memorable as HALO 2 though. I haven't played HALO 2 in almost a year or more anyway. Hopefully HALO 3 will be a vast improvement over the campaign mode and online multiplayer. As far as I heard it won't be out until at least March or April of 2007.

Actually, the Legendary edition is supposedly shaped like a spartan helmet instead of including one. Not sure how that's going to work if they plan to include 4 discs in there, but oh well.

It does...it has as much of a storyline as say, Aliens had a storyline.

And it's obvious that a lot of people were enthralled in it, or they wouldn't have been so pissed when Halo 2 ended on a cliffhanger.

Halo 3 does look good. I never finished Halo 2 because I got frustrated with the autosave function (::gets bumped off bridge from brute::AUTOSAVE::dies>>load::gets bumped off bridge from brute::AUTOSAVE::dies) Yeah... that blows

I think that Halo 3 will have to be pretty dern spectacular to blow Gears of War out of the water. Albeit.. I heard that Gears of War is a somewhat short game.. but.. the multiplay experience is supposed to be tremendously satisfying. I haven't played it online myself, as I do not follow online XBox games...but based on what I've read and what I've seen on the boob tube, it's doing very well. I personally love the single player campaign. I personally hate being chased by berserkers and wish that they would do away with that entire part of the game, but other than that.. I LOVE IT!

Oh.. and to the guy that said halo has no story (not you Raidenex)... you're a moron. Halo actually has a very deep storyline. Which is precisely why the game HAS ITS OWN NOVEL!!! Look it up on wikipedia and have fun with it.. there's lot of storyline related information there that may actually get you into the game more. Unless you don't know to read.

Last I looked.. I did actually back up my claims based on my play experience in the game. Being that at that time I did, and STILL do own the game.

Since Halo 3 is going to be the biggest game for the Xbox 360 when it comes out, a lot of people are going to consider buying the Legendary edition.

I know alot of people will I just wanna ask somebody why they want to pay about an extra $40 just to get a Halo helmat. I mean I could see people buying the collectors edition but the Legendary thing is just unnecessary.

Why halo rocks:

1) Reallly good multiplayer
2) Excellent storyline
3) Logical
4) Great Graphics
5) A stable game AI

I dot see people stating the reasons on why they hate halo...hmm....

legendary version has 4 extra bonus discs jampacked with all the behind the scences stuff you can stomach and a helmet that unfortunately... you cant wear.... but it still looks cool. its 100 dollars, so if it ever goes down a little in price or i get a job, i might get it. otherwise, im happy with my reserved copy of just halo 3
