I tried drawing characters with this kind of style one time. It/I sucked, so I went back to doing 'Graffiti' Style characters.

Hands really aren't as hard as they seem. It's just they seem to be because of of the many shapes it appears to take when there are just a few basic shapes. Once you realize that, you can start modifying those shapes based on the perspective the hand is in. Fingers themselves aren't as big of a problem either as it is how they look when connected from different angles.

They're not hard to find, but I would suggest buying them. I got some several Christmas' ago and expanded my library of them since then. They're great references and have helped me out a lot.
