I got a little bored while downloading the KnightOnline game so I decided to make this guide for those having trouble defeating the Omega weapon on FF8

Firstly, a few facts to take note of:

1) Your characters' weapons NEED NOT need the ultimate weapon of each character to kill the Omega Weapon. It is possible to kill the Omega Weapon with Squall's Revolver {Yes, I've tried it before but I need a video recording device to capture the video}

2) If your characters levels are the multiples of 5 {eg 5,10,15,90,100}, you MUST junction death to Status Defence or the Omega weapon will kill you with its Lv5 death {Usually used on the 1st or 2nd move}

3) You NEED NOT need to have Heroes/Holy wars to kill the Omega Weapon. Just have Haste Junctioned to Spd and have Cerebus junctioned to Squall so that he would be able to use the "Auto Haste" ability {BTW, you can obtain 100 heroes by winning Laguna's card. Laguna's card can be won from Ellone in disk 3 when Squall goes into space.}

4) Remove all the magic you have junctioned to Elemental Attack because the Omega Weapon ABSORBS all magics except for a few such as Meteor, Ultima etc

5) Junction 1) 100x Meteor 2) 100x Quake to Elemental Defence. This would reduce the amount of damage caused by the Ultima Weapon.

6) All your characters must have a HP of 9999. After that, "kill" each other and use a "cure" spell and heal the character who has been hit to a range of 2000+ HP. IMPORTANT: KEEP ONE CHARACTER'S HP AT 9999

7) **The Party To Defeat Omega**
Suggestions:

. Squall + Rinoa + Zell(Healer-9999hp)
. Squall + Rinoa + Irvine(Healer-9999hp)
. Squall + Quistis + Irvine(Healer-9999hp) {Use this party only if Quistis has learned "Mighty Guard" and "Shockwave Pulsar"}

NOTE: Healer's can still attack the Omega Weapon with the aid of Aura.

8) Be sure to junction(For each character) lllll100x Curaga/Full-life to HP lllll100x Meltdown to Vit lllll 100x Curaga/Reflects to Spr lllll 100x Ultima to Magic{For the Healer}/Str{For the characters who are unleashing limit breaks}

. Curagas can be obtained through Siren's L-Mag RF {Kill anything and everything for Wizard Stones}

. Full-lifes can be ovtained through Siren's L-Mag RF {Kill Chimara's for Regen rings and convert them}

. Meldowns can be draws from High Level'd Galayas or Bombs {Galayas can be found in the Traiba Reigon and Bombs in the Fire Caravan}

. Reflects can be converted through (Forgot the GF's name) Supt Magic {Kill Hexadragons in The Island Of Hell for dragon fangs and convert them.}

. Ultimas can be...

1) Drawn in the Shumi Village/The island closest to Heaven or hell
2) Converted through Bahumut's Forbid Mag RF {Kill high leveled Elnyoes in Esthar for their energy crystals.}

.Go to Esthar, make 2 turns to the left, make 1 turn to the north, and finally 1 turn to the right.

.Talk to the Injured soldier there.

.You will be forced into combat with an Elnyoe.You need to be lvl 80+ for the Elnyoe to drop Energy Crystal(s). Simply use Tonberry's Level Up Command and unleash Squall's limit break twice and he should be dead. Repeat as many times as you want by walking to another scene and then walking back.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ THE GUIDE ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The Omega Weapon would either start off with a physical attack or Lv5 Death.
If the Omega Weapon hits a character hits a character with its physical attack{Deals around 3000+ HP}, use a life spell on the character who has fallen.
After that, cast Meltdown on the Omega Weapon
(If Quistis is in the party), have her to unleash "Mighty Guard". Omega is unlikely to kill you in 1 hit if you have junctioned the magics I instructed you to do in Steps 5 & 8
(If you have hero/hero war), cast it on the person with 9999hp/the whole party respectively.
(If Rinoa is in your party), have her to unleash "Angelo". There is a 25% chance that you may be protected by "Invisible Moon".
After that, CHARGE LIKE MAD!!! Use limit breaks and keep hitting the Omega Weapon. BTW, If Quistis has 255 magic, she can do over 20,000 with Shockwave Pulsar!! Also, if the healer/Quistis has 255 magic, he/she can heal 9999hp with curaga
If the Omega weapon decides to use "Light Pillar" / "Medigo flames", have the healer to use a double spell on himself/herself and then cast the life spell on the other 2 characters
The Omega Weapon would be dead in around 10 minutes if you had followed the steps above.
CONGRATS!!! You've just killed the strongest monster in FF8!! The reward is a Three-Stars and a Proof Of Omega which you can view in the Tutorial.
I hope this guide has been a great help ^_^
With Double/Triple and Aura (which aren't hard to come by), all that nonsense of smacking two of your characters around, only to revive one when Omega hits him is kind of pointless. Actually, it's really pointless. Also, why have Zell as a healer? Isn't his Armageddeon Fist like, the ZOMG MOST ROXX0RZ tactic in the game? At any rate, great job in making a rather simple process overly complicated. I can sum up most of that in about four lines--maybe less.
lol yeah, i was thinking that.
why kill 2 characters only to revive them up to 2000+ hp???
your member name says "ff8 veteran" yet you cant remember the name of the GF who has the support magic ability.
that deserves a rofl-coptor *rolls on floor*
Lol guess what. I haven't used a GF in my life before {Well maybe once or twice in the Dollet mission and obtaining Diablos}
7) **The Party To Defeat Omega**
Suggestions:
. Squall + Rinoa + Zell(Healer-9999hp)
. Squall + Rinoa + Irvine(Healer-9999hp)
. Squall + Quistis + Irvine(Healer-9999hp) {Use this party only if Quistis has learned "Mighty Guard" and "Shockwave Pulsar"}
You really don't need to use Squall at all. I generally prefer to bin him as soon as I reach Ulti's Castle. I have beaten Omega most times with a party of Quistis/Zell/Irvine, sometimes interchanging Selphie in there somewhere. Armageddon Fist (Booya/Punch Rush) is, in my experience, a lot more effective than Lion Heart.
(If you have hero/hero war), cast it on the person with 9999hp/the whole party respectively.
(If Rinoa is in your party), have her to unleash "Angelo". There is a 25% chance that you may be protected by "Invisible Moon".
Using Invincibility kinda takes away the challenge part of this challenge.
BTW, If Quistis has 255 magic, she can do over 20,000 with Shockwave Pulsar!!
If her desperation levels are high enough she can do 30,000+ (though kinda unlikely if she's your healer).
Also, if the healer/Quistis has 255 magic, he/she can heal 9999hp with curaga
If the Omega weapon decides to use "Light Pillar" / "Medigo flames", have the healer to use a double spell on himself/herself and then cast the life spell on the other 2 characters
The Recover ability should always be on the healer. It's quicker than casting spells and doesn't compromise your junctions either.
It's kinda silly how he says you don't need Heroes/Holy Wars, and then says to use Angelo in hopes of getting Invincible Moon.
1) Pick Squall, Rinoa & Zell
2) Junction 100 Triples to each characters speed and any speed bonuses
3) Let Omega use Medigo Flame to reduce everyone to 1 HP
4) Use a Holy War
5) Have Zell use Armageddon Fist, Rinoa's Angel Wing meteor trick & Squall uses his Lionheart
I can beat Omega in under 7 minutes with this setup.
Yawn. Anybody can beat Omega pretty quickly with Holy Wars. Icy's 'guide' didn't even recommend using them.
holy wars are for the weak
if you junction 100 triples to speed and equip auto-haste...you can get in 3 turns per character (4 in the beginning with initiative)...which is more than enough to beat him
