What does the vitality attirbute affect? I read that it affects a characters damage given with axes and hammers, but what else does it do? Damage that your character takes perhaps?

in most final fantasy games vitality is the stat connected with the amount of damage you take from magic....i am not too sure if it is the same for this game but that is how it usually is...

It is your resistance to status effects- it affects the length of the negative status effect on you. I think it works with positive status effects as well

As we all have noticed, FFXII is not like "most" Final Fantasy Games. You could also simply look in the booklet, page 17....

But anyways, it states.
Vitality: Determines the character's resistance to various status ailments as well as the time required for recovery. Vitality increases as a character gains levels.

vitality has always been more physical. i thought raising vitality would have given me more hp or something. but i guess only in diablo II or something. lol could affect stamina too if we had stamina.

but in ff12. i'd quote merurikku. :p
