Yeah, I've searched the forum for similar topic and found one dating back to 2002, but it contained insufficient information so I decided to make a new one.

I've been reading this Manga for a while now (haven't yet finished it, it's massive!!) and I can safely say that, for me, it's second only to Dragon Ball. Whoever knows me also knows that I consider DB to be the ULTIMATE Manga/Anime ever. So how come I Jojo's Bizarre Adventure this much? It's pretty unique. It has outstanding characters and extremely interesting ways of combat.

The story follows generations of descendants of the clan Joestar and their struggle against bizarre opponents. The Manga is divided in parts. First part follows the exploits of Jonathan Joestar and his fight with Dio Brando, a powerful vampire-like being. The second part is all bout Joseph Joestar (Jonatha's son) and his and his friends' battle against the extremely powerful super-evolved beings. The third part (and my favourite so far) stars Kujo Jotaro (first name: Jotaro, last name: Kujo; the Japanese always write their last name first) who is Joseph's grandson and one of THE COOLEST DUDES I've ever come across be it Manga, Anime, movie, comic, you name it. In fact he's second only to Gokou, for me. I'll not describe the following parts because I've not read them yet. Be wary though, that the combat style, the movement and the drawing style has altered over the years and as the Manga progressed, but it is a fantastic effort from the author, Araki Hirohiko. Also you will note that in the first and second parts the caracters will often strike a fighting pose that is physically impossible to recreate irl. That is, or was, the signature of the author then. Also, some will note the striking resemblance in the drawing style of this author and the author of Hokuto No Ken (Fist Of The North Star). The Manga is still running and has been printing ever since 1987. It has 88 volumes so far.

Jojo's Bizarre Adventure is also one of the Manga that got on the top 10 list of all times in Japan, along with Slam Dunk and Dragon Ball.
