Now i may be jumping the gun but why do i have only one merchant in the bazaar and he sells stupid things...i thought that i was supposed to be unlocking new people to sell stuff in the bazaar...any help?

you should be able to buy the same bazaar items from every merchant. you can get more items to buy from selling more loot; the bazaar stuff only get unlocked when you've sold a certain number of this and that. oh yeah, and you don't have to sell it all at one time. as long as you've sold one at one point in the game and more and another, then you can still unlock it.

The bazaar items are generally a little bit less than straight-up buying them not in the bazaar. It also gives you access to armor, weapons, or accessories that you wouldn't normally have access to.

ok...but why was i told that other merchants and/or items become available after gaining ranks?

They do I just Finished a mark and the petitioner of the mark told me he was a merchant in the Baazar and that I should go talk to him later. It was only the second mark or hunt

There are items in the Bazaar which is expensive...starting 18000gil. I bought one after I saved the game to check it out... and I found its an item for better loot?!!! is it worth buying??!! I also bought the 22000gil items and its the same thing.

yea they are good because they make rare drops occur more often from enemies...they will pay for themselves after time

they will pay for themselves if you are running low on money and dont really need your lp then settle for poaching and stealing...they will help you get rarer drops and you can turn around and sell those, i get 10k from less than an hour of gameplay and that is without poach or steal gambits on...it is not that hard to make that much money

there are 8 grimiores total!
there's no real good way on telling which is which but you can piece together some clues to figure out in case you want one over the other. the clues are the price, and what you remember doing to get it.


1. Forgotten Grimiore: Price - 18000 (Hunter's Monograph - enhances loot from beasts/avions) Requirements: Speak with Gatsly in muthru bazaar AFTER completing the thextera hunt!

2. Forgotten Grimiore: Price - 19000 (Knights Monograph - enhances loot from Giants/Insencts) Requirements: Talk to any weapon merchant more than 30 times

3. Forgotten Grimiore: Price - 20000 (Warmages Monograph - enhances loot from Amorphs/Undead) Requirements: Read the hunt bulletin board more than 20 times

4. Forgotten Grimiore: Price - 21000 (Mage's Monograph - enhances loot from Fiends) Requirements: Talk to any magic merchant more than 25 times.

(they will pay for themselves if you are running low on money and dont really need your lp then settle for poaching and stealing...they will help you get rarer drops and you can turn around and sell those, i get 10k from less than an hour of gameplay and that is without poach or steal gambits on...it is not that hard to make that much money)

no you can get rare drop from high chains... or just as a rare drop...but with steal and poach the likelihood of it happening increases...

you can check your clan primer and look in the beastiary to find out actually. (i think). just look up a monster you've killed and prolly wanna kill more of, and in the bottom it should list the type.

and for the ability 1000 needles. i don't think so. i sold that thing myself and didn't get the ability. i think its like any other technique in which you buy it from the technique shop and then unlock it in the liscence board.

What number are these hunts. I mean how long before I could possibly get to them. I have only finished up to the thextera hunt, and there are no more hunts posted.

a good easy way to tell when you COULD have these marks or can attempt these, is when your about to enter mt. bur-omisace. its a good many hours into the game. once your there, you can just stop from going further with the story, and backtrack and do any marks or sidequest you want/can. this is where i did mine. just make sure you save with the orange save crystal first so you can just teleport back to the entrance of the mt when your done sidequesting.

I bought the Hunters Monograph expecting to get more from Panthers but all it gives me is a pebble worth TWO gil. I would have to kill NINE-THOUSAND panthers for the dumb thing to "pay for it self"

yah. ever since i baught a few monographs i've been getting pebbles too. i don't know what they are for. but i do get more rares as well. :p

it does mean that but you only get more rare drops from the kind of grimoire that you have...go into the menu then inventory...key items...highlight the grimoire that you have and it will tell you what kind of enemies should start dropping more rare items

how do you get more pebble without cheat with an gameshark or codebreaker or action replay?

try to poach...or get a high chain (which makes rare drops more frequent anyway) and with the grimoire and a chain around 20 you should be getting rare drops left and right...it works for me...

Quick question, in the guide it says "Sell "item item and item" to bazaar" to get <big item such as weapon or w/e>, does that mean sell to anything/anyone or just ONLY to the bazaar?

I just get more pebbles

I get some weapons and accessories and stuff. Pretty rare, but it does happen.

I've had the Hunter's Monograph for a while and I think THAT one is probably worth it. These stupid wolves are everywhere! So at least you can get some good stuff from them once in a while. The monograph for items from undead is probably worth it too...there are lots of undead in some good leveling-up areas.

I think I am about 4/5 through the game and I have not seen SO many of other kinds of monsters that those rare drops would pay off much.

I have the Hunter's. And so far the only thing I have gained is 56 pebbles. At 2gil each, that comes out to 112gil. That's about 5% (very little) of what I need to payoff the stupid Grimoire.

Im planning to get the undead Grimoire and head the bhujerba mines for skeletons. ‎normally I get around 11-12k per run and the spawn rate is very good there.‎

I just spent 250000 on the canopic jar from the bazaar...but I still didn't catch what Arcana do for me exactly. Help?

The grimories are sort of worth it, they do allow rare drops and are more worth it when you have all of them. If you train and get as much money as I do, getting them is no problem.

What I do to get money is, when you're a high level enough, go into the feywood and train on mirrorknights (south part of feywood). They drop mirror pinions (or something like that) that sell for over 1000 ea. And when you get a high combo on them, they can drop 2,3, or even 4 at a time.
