Possible, yes. Worthwhile, absolutely not.

I think it is, but for not the old games to get them brand new - unless somehow you can contact people / buisnesses to remake them (probably impossible, but who knows). Or you could somehow ebay the games and hope to hell that you can. You'll need a lot of money of course, and a lot of dedication and even room to store them. I've seen photos of people that have over 1000 games, and not even all the consoles! It's sick...

May I ask what the point of this Thread is?

No. For several reasons. There's a bunch of games only limtedly produced. People who own such a copy will never ever sell it. Then there's games that never got officially released, but this doesn't count argueably.

Then there's the problem of you lifespan. Games will continue to be created even after you die.

I made this thread because I wanted to see what people thought, and their opinions.

I guess you had a negative thought about this thread, if you don't like this thread, go to another thread. :)

Or maybe some people would sell it. Maybe they despritely need money hmm?

Ebay...

Okay, games that are around when you're alive, or before you were alive.

Remember there's over 3 BILLION ( 3 000 000 000 ) people on Earth.

Did half of the world's population die suddenly when I wasn't looking? I'm pretty sure we're at somewhere around 6 billion.

It's kind of relevent to the discussion. The greater population makes the possibility of owning EVERY single game even more unlikely.

Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha, for some silly unexplainable reason... what really gets to me is the fact he wrote the actual digit in parentheses afterwards as if dealing with nine year olds.

hahaha

I actually think with unlimited amounts of money this IS possible (though obviously not after you die, but that's not in question). I think that most people, when offered enough money/blackmailed into it will give up even their rarest posessions ("I'll give enough money to make whatever needs to happen happen to stop genocide in Sudan if you give me your Radiant Silvergun").

What gets me, is he sounded confident and learned in saying it.

Actually, wouldn't it make it more possible? It means as if more people could own a rarer game. The less the people, the more unlikely that they even have it/them.

Just because there's more people on earth doesn't mean there's more of a limited production game. 3 billion or 6 billion, if there's only so many genuine copies of a game, that's all there is.

Think of this:

More people - more sales - more copies made (most likely) - less thrown away (or better chance) - more left.

The way I see it, the more people, the greater the odds of a game(s) being lost in the masses, never to resurface. Forever trapped in a basement, behind a dresser, or some other easily overlooked nook in someone's house.

But if the game is popular (Just an example, Final Fantasy VII, it was a very popular game (and still is), wouldn't SquareEnix make more copies to sell for them to make more profit?

Are they still making brand new copies of FF7??? And besides, your theory only applies to new games, not ones that have been made and are no longer being reproduced.
