On several sites (even this one i think) it says that V and VI will be released on a "WonderSwan Color" What is this? Sony's version of Game Boy Advance?

The WonderSwan is a 16-bit handheld created by Ban Dai, not Sony. It's pretty old actually, but the more recent version is the WonderSwan Color, which is basically the same system except with color.

Square made some Final Fantasy ports to the system, but they were the original NES games. I believe that a port of FF4 was on the way for the system but I have no idea whether or not that came through.

Regardless, ever since the GBA came out, sales of the Wonderswan have been... how shall we put it... baaaaad, even with Squaresoft support. Keep in mind it's a Japan-only system.

Anyway, if you're expecting it to be some kind of glorious GBA-killer, think again. Especially since Square's games, which were basically its only real killer ap, are now coming out for the GBA and GameCube too and will probably connect between the systems. (This is really new news, so if you don't believe me, see it for yourself :P http://gamespot.com/gamespot/stories/news/0,10870,2853838,00.html

So there you have it. If you're still interested in the system, you'll have to import it, and you'll have to be a lover of wacky Japanese games where you can't read any of the writing. Somehow it seems to have a decent number of US fans, but I sure as hell ain't one of them (Not that I've ever actually played a WonderSwan.)
