i just got demonsbane from the secret chest in the Tomb of Raithwall and i saw on another post that you can get it again the same way (i couldnt find the post again) and i was just wondering if thats true and how you would go about doing that because the walls havent come back for me and the chest has not reappeared no matter how many times i leave and go grind on LP, gil and everything else

well.. if the chest hasn't reappeared, then you just have really bad luck.

Do you find out about this secret chest during the game, or is it just a secret? If its just a secret do you mind posting how to get it?

its a secret i found on one of the post but sure ill post it.
1. you have to kill the first Demon Wall in the Tomb of Raithwall (a nice chain of quickening will do it), when its dead go to where it started moving from and hit the node
2. go back to the save crystal, heal and save
3. go through the door where the demon wall battle started and there is another demon wall kill it the same way, after its dead go back to the node where the first demon wall was and hit it, some stairs will appear
4. go heal and save then go down the stairs, there are some flans down there so if you think you can take them without healing and saving do it (they are weak to water) but save in case demonsbane is not there
5. the chest is at the very bottom of the stairs and in the middle, i had to re-load 3 times cuz demonsbane wasnt in the chest the first time

you don't really need to restart, if you go out and back in, the chest should respawn with about 50% prob, so if you already opened the chest, don't worry, I got some mote the first time I opened it.
But again, the restart method is probably a quicker way to get it.

ya i restarted because i didnt kno if it would respawn or not which is why i saved before i went to get it

yeah you have to LEAVE the building, but yeah the chest is there everytime i got here. I usually get a Holy Mote though.. only once (the first time) did i get the sword.

Sure, why not? It's a randomly generated loot chest. You may have to try a few times to get another one, but.. it might be worth it if you need it.

Yes.. i was extremely lucky. I have no idea how I managed that, but I'll tell you what. That sword is way ahead of where you are at that point in the game. There isn't much that can stand up to it.

ya this is true its very strong! and i just got another one! it dropped in the paramina rift from one of the monsters

are you sure? i was outfitting my characters at the Mt Bur Omisace save crystal and i didnt see one well either way i still got a 2nd one for free lol

Yes I'm sure. At Mt. Bur-Omisace I was able to buy them, but by then I already had an Ice Brand so I equipped Ashe with the Demonsbane and Vaan with the Ice Brand. I would have bought the Demonsbane from the guy there, but I got a Slasher instead for Basch.

hmmm i wonder how i missed this you got ice brand from a chest right? i think it didnt appear in the chest for me

I got Ice Brand as a reward from killing Ring Wyrm Mark.

I was roughly 28-30. That was a tough fight.

did you have to use all your characters? cuz right now vaan,ashe, and fran are 30 the other 3 im lvling up to 30 in the rift

yeah.. I did .. That Ring Wyrm was a very tough fight for me. Harder than most boss fights that I have fought thus far. The problem is he has alot of Defense and he has alot of HP. I believe he has nearly 150000 HP. Even with quickenings I only did 40000 damage max with one combo of Quicks. So.. he's a tough cookie. Even my wife said I had been fighting that guy for awhile and she knows next to nothing about any game, let alone FFXII.

hmmm well i guess i should wait then, just wondering tho do you recall what hit combos you reached with your quickenings?

he is.. very tough. Even Belias couldn't stand up to him.

Yeah .. I've used him on a couple bosses and he doesn't take too much damage but can push out a great deal of damage to foes.

hmm ill probably start using him just to see what happens

Im like 2 to 3 stages after the wall demon mission now, and on that occasion i ran away from the 1st and went straight to the second demon wall, can i still go back and get the treasure this way ?
