As far as I'm aware, it doesn't exist. The 'Star Ocean Version' is just a part of the title.

It does in fact exist, since I have a crappy low bitrate mp3 of it.

The original version is just Misia and piano. The Star Ocean version adds an orchestra.

After listening to that in full, it appears it actually a concert recording (applause at the end of the track is the most obvious giveaway) and it is in fact not the original version. The pianist in that concert has done some improv with the original piano chords.

.....Finally someone decided to share this awesome song..I was so angry when I realized that none of the versions were on Star Ocean III OST because this song was the main reason why I bought the OST..but later I realized that the OST was awesome even without this song..anyway this is the best post ever because these songs are so rare..I have been looking them for couple of years and now I finally have them so thank you.

I didn't know so many people were looking for this song and that it was so hard to find, so I am very glad I found this post in the first place and was able to share.

Many people discovered Misia through Star Ocean III, in my case I was a fan of hers before I even played the game. I remember localization took forever so at some point I stopped caring about game details (like theme songs), so I wasn't aware that Misia was on it and when I finally got my hands on the game (on day 1 of course), I started playing and soon found myself absolutely shocked after hearing her song playing on the background on the starting scenes... it was just too beautiful, and I couldnt be happier with the fact that they left the japanese track intact and didnt try to make a forced english version like they did with Hikaru Utada's Hikari for Kingdom Heart's opening.

Anyway, to anyone who liked that song, I definetly recommend getting her albums and if you can, even her live performances, she is just THE BEST japanese live performer out there.

And I know Misia's songs are hard to find, but even then, I never imagined this song, now a SO3 trademark, would be left out of the OSTs.
Now that you mentioned SO4, I hadn't even thought of that, if they use Misia again I'll surely wet my pants, if you know what I mean ;)
