Hello all FF gexs out there!

Have recently bought a PS2 and meantime I also bought FFIX.

And well at first it seemed to work just fine but after I had played for almost 4 hours and I was going to make my first save just to find out that I couldnt make any saves!

It just said "There is no meomry card" and I can assure that there was one, the meomry card though was the orginal PS2 meomry card...

Doesnt FFIX work on PS2 or do I need a PS1 meomry card in order to make saves? Ist even possible to use PS meomry cards in PS2???

If any1 got any simular experince or know anything about this plz HELP!!!
Would really hate not to be able to play FFIX and would be truly gratefull for any info!

I think that it would be helpful to read a little about a product before you buy it. But ROKI's right about the PS1/PS2 memory card thing.

I forgot to mention something. ou can only save on ps1 mem cards ps1 saves, but u can backup ur ps1 saves on a ps2 mem card or on the ps2 hard drive, but the ps1 games wont regognize any other hardware except the ps1 mem cards. I hope its cleaned out in ur mind. And Kailas is right, u should know about this.

Actually, ive had somewhat similar experience...but it had to do with loading.

I have a memory card with my FF files on it, (7-9) and tried to load it on my friends ps2 (the slim one) but it wouldnt load. At first we just thought it was the slim ps2, so we tried it on his dads older ps2. It still wouldnt work! My PS2 was made in late 2003, and his dads in like 2001, so why does my memory card only work on mine??? It doesnt make sense. Ive never had problems saving. XD

That sounds weird. I've never had an issue with mine, and I've had it since late 2002. One of my friends has one thats probably as old as they get, but I've never had an issue with it either. Mabye the ports are a little messed up?
