... pretty sure I'll be gettin' that. or at the very, very least renting it and then buying it barring it completely sucking.

it looks good except for the fact that to turn you have to aim at the very edge of the screen.

It would be actually great if it was online compatible.

This looks like a solid title. I'll probably be getting it.

I have no idea how this terrible commercial could generate any new interest in the game. Maybe it didn't and this topic is just a good spot to say things you already thought about the game?

Because that is what I am going to do. At least from gameplay reports/videos it seems like an average game which happened to get a lot of pre-launch attention... sorta like Blue Stinger on the dreamcast.

Even if I was going to get the Wii, no way I would spend money on any type of shooter.

Because I hate those type of games no matter how good people say they are.

Really.

I hate them more than I hate the Dodgers, at least I think I do.

I totally don't get the online thing. I think the virtual console is great, but online gaming in most instances is just... meh. it's so much more fun to actually have the people there, and to know them, as opposed to random immature interwebbers .

maybe it's just me.

those people were not playing the game :(

They paid four actors to point the wii-mote at a screen and jump around like idiots.

Nevertheless, the actual game footage was reminiscent of Goldeneye multiplayer, which can only be a good thing.

I'm not talking about just me in general. I'm saying that for a game that is getting a good amount of hype that this one is, and one that is trying to display a big chunk of the wii-motes possibilites, Red Steel should have been online capable. Honestly it doesn't bother me much since I dont play online games that much, but I'm just saying it would have made the game even better.

I remember reading somewhere that this game was pretty disappointing, but I can't remember where.

...that's all I have.

Necropost, I know, but it's worth it, as I actually agree with Sarah here. Every experience I've had with random interwebbers has been negative. When I play online with folks I already know (which happens almost never), it's great. But it doesn't beat having friends around...that being said, I need to talk to one of my buddies about getting our LAN parties back together.

Red Steel looks like a complete blast to play--no pun intended.
