These are the ones that come to mind immediately. I'm somewhat conflicted though. Games like GUN were immensely fun, but they were so easy/short it seems wrong to put them on a top ten list.

I considered the length thing too, but if you think about it, why should the depiction of a good game be anything to do with length?

You've got a valid point. GUN being a perfect example. It was just about everything I could hope for in a game like that, except for the fact that it was painfully short. Before I realized where the story was heading, it was nearing the 60% mark. This may just be me, but I prefer longer games. They tend to bore me less in the long run.

Likewise, shorter games aren't worth the buy if you're not prepared to complete it over and over, IMO.

Final Fantasy IX (my first ff, i loved this game)
Silent Hill (A classic horror game. Pure Terror)
Spyro the Dragon 3(as a platform game, its really enjoyable and fun:))
Tekken 2 (For the fighting games i choose this one. I used to play it all the time with friends when it came out)
Crash Team Racing (In the racing games i choose this game because after so many years, i still play it and have fun. Its the most enjoyable racing game ive played)

Those are the games I play most. I was a big fan of the original Crash Bandicoot (on Ps1) 'til my copy broke, though.:( And if we're discussing other formats, most of the Sonic games would be up there too. Again, I still play those games, in spite of the fact they're a decade and a half old.

I think it beats 5 for single player but certainly not on multiplayer co-op, which is how I play the ML. Goodbye Arsenal style running up the wings and squaring it ;_;

Haven't got Pro Evo 6 yet as it's only recently come out. To be honest I might not buy it as Pro Evo 5 is a great game as it is and I'm saving my cash for the PS3.

I've spoken to a couple of mates about it and they said it wasn't much of a step forward from 5.

Yeah, I would be cautious of buying it especially if you liked 5 (some crazy cats think 5 is the worst in the series and 6 is a return to form, CRAZY). I got it for free because I know a guy who pre-ordered it from Amazon and they sent him two by mistake, but if I bought it I would feel pretty cheated.

Are there any new teams in 6 that weren't in 5?

Also have they got more official licensing, etc.? It's a small flaw I know but I'm getting a little annoyed at having to edit the entire Welsh team with every update. Takes forever.

PS are you from the UK or outside the UK? If the former, who do you support?

I'm Irish and I support Arsenal, last night was quite a travesty, but anyways! With regards to teams in 6, they have full official licences for the Primera Liga, Serie A, Ligue 1 and Eredivisie, France being the only new addition there. They were supposed to get a Bundesliga licence too but some last minute hitch meant that they had to remove the German teams; they aren't even in it under different names. In the Premiership they have Arsenal and Man Utd licences, not Chelsea this time round for some reason. The various big-teams-who-play-in-small-leagues-not-included-in-the-game this time round include, amongst others, Olympiacos, Sporting Lisbon, Porto, Benfica and Bayern Munich who'd sell their souls for money and I guess signed an individual deal when the Bundesliga one collapsed. I'm not too sure about the Welsh thing but there is certainly plenty of international players with the wrong names so it seems quite likely that the names will be wrong, sorry ;(

Assuming though that by PES7 they'll have secured Bundesliga rights properly it'll mean that 4 of the 5 big European leagues will have signed deals, the Premiership the exception of course, and that will be pretty neat.

Shame. Pro Evo is far better than FIFA gameplay-wise, but I usually find myself buying FIFA too just for the licenses. And the commentators. Motty over Peter Brackley any day! ;-)
