Dewentor --- I think I agree with most of what you're saying, but I'm not really sure about the whole "chaining" business. Perhaps you could delve into deeper detail on that?

Oh, so you mean like the chaining when it comes to the Gunner's Gauntlet game in Besaid. I do too, although I'm not really sure what it has to do with the dresspheres --- since that particular game doesn't actually utilize the dressphes in anyway. (Although that might have been an interesting idea --- utilizing the dresspheres for some of the games.)

Anyway, Gunner's Gauntlet is a pretty cool game, although gets a bit easy if you use some of the hidden cheats / tricks to rack up chains, don't you agree?

depend on how you fight in game your ability increase along side
when you change dressphere you dont need get a weapon to fight
all you need to do is just use skills and magics to fight and you cant
buy a high level weapons to raise your attack accuracy but accessory
in game give you chance to change your status a little in fight
what do you think about "you cant equip strong weapons or buy"?

Well, I thought it was an interesting choice --- not having any weapons to equpi or buy. Really changes the way of the battle system and makes it more dependent on levels and accessory/dressphere utilization. How about you?

You say that the accessories only change your stats a litte, but I have to disagree. Take, for example, the Iron Duke or Ragnarok. Both these fine accessories could easily help turn the tide of any battle, even boss battles. And what about Cat Nip? That was frankly a cheating accessory. I think it would be easy to just buy high-level equipment from the shops. The thrill is finding these things for yourself (also, you uncover more of the story if you try).

Magester, while I agree with you I have to point out that in most other FFs it was very rare that you could buy top-notch weapons. Most are either found in difficult to reach places or gained as a result of beating difficult bosses or completing difficult tasks. You can buy a lot of accessories in X-2 too so in that sense I don't see how it's any different.

Although I was a fan of the dressphere system for the record. I thought the Sphere Grid system implemented in the original was just as worthy though.

I'm not saying that the accessory system of X-2 is better than any other system or less accessible. I'm merely pointing out that the accessories were not, as Dewentor said, just to give the characters a chance to change their status a little, but were more than that. To be honest, I felt the customisation system of FFX was far superior as you had the chance to make your own items, which is much cooler. Does anyone else think this?
