The shadow can be found in one of five places on the world map.

1, Dead in the middle of the four continents
2, On an island north of Daguerro (sp?)
3, Near the Earth Shrine
4, North west Mist Continent
5, On the eastern edge of the Forgotten Continent.

The shadow only appears at one place at one time, when you find it use a Dead Pepper whilst flying directly above the shadow on your Chocobo.

Here's a list of the nasty spells Ozma has in store for you:

Curse

What it does:
Inflicts Poison, Mini, and Darkness and damage ranging between 2000-5000 to your entire party
How to combat it:
Equip "Antibody" "Bright eyes" and have Eiko or Garnet Ready to cast "Mini" on the party

Doomsday

what it does:
Inflicts very high Shadow damage to your party and Ozma himself (He absorbs the damage)

How to combat it:
Equip items that Absorb/Null shadow damage. You could also complete the "Friendly monster" quest this turns Ozma's weakness to Shadow therefore damaging himself every time he casts Doomsday.

Meteor

What it does:
Inflicts very high damage to your entire party (I've never seen this do less than 9999)

How to combat it:
Close your eyes and hope your characters are still alive when your re-open them, Auto-Life comes in handy here.

Flare

What it does:
Inflicts high damage to one member of your party (3000-6000 damage)

How to combat it:
Pretty weak compared to the rest of Ozma's array powerful magic, Auto-Regen should replenish the damage dealt by this attack in no time.

Curaga

What it does:
Omza heals himself for around 5000 iirc

How to combat it:
Ozma only uses this when his HPs are running low, when you notice he's using Curaga don't attack unless your characters are dealing more than what Curaga can heal him by.

Flare Star

What it does:
Deals damage to your whole party damage is dealt depending on each characters level

How to combat it:
Keeping HP levels above 80% ensures you safety against this spell.

Mini

What it does:
Reduces all stats of your party to a point which make your character completely useless until relieved of Mini

How to combat it:
Cast the white magic spell "Mini" on all characters, or sperately to all characters effected by it.

Berserk

What it does:
A character inflicted with Berserk attack mindlessly, and sinse Omza is airbourne your character attacks mindlessly into thin air.

How to combat it:
You could complete the "Friendly monster" quest, as this makes it possible for Ozma to be attacked normally by physical attacks, if your can't be bothered to do this tedious quest for such a stupid reward (Like I) just bring some Gyshal greens and use them on Berserked members of your party when needed.

Holy

What it does:
It does some damage similar to Flare I can't remember how much it is but I don't think Ozma uses this spell much anyway.

How to combat it:
The same way you would Flare.

LV5 death

What it does:
Alll party members whose level is divisible by 5 have thier HP reduced to Zero

How to combat it:
Try to have all your characters at levels which makes them immune from this attack.

Tips:

Not only does Ozma use devistating spells, he casts them very rapidly, I recommend you have Auto-Haste for all your characters for this fight.

Boost + Bahamut + Auto-Regen + Auto-Haste + 99 Garnets
This is my favourate combo against Ozma. Boost extends the summon footage to maximum and Auto-Regen works while your watch the footage - catch my drift? If you have Auto-Haste it restores a ton of HP, and with 99 Garnets you can deal heafty damage to Ozma whilst you regain al your Hps!

That's about all the help I can offer without knowing what characters you use. Also, don't expect to win straight away the Ozma fight is very luck-orienated try a couple times (Say 5) and if you still keep losing level up some more.
