I'd suggest Porco Rosso, Laputa:Castle in the Sky, Grave of the Fireflies, My Neighbor Totoro & Pom Poko other than the three you mentioned, with Porco Rosso as my personal favorite over all of them. Whisper of the Heart is good too but only if you're interested in what's essentially a drama/romance about a young girl. All of the Ghibli films are worth watching in my opinion.

If you like Ghibli films and Miyazaki's work in particular you need to also check out Lupin III: Castle of Cagliostro and Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind. Those two are extremely amazing films directed by Miyazaki before Ghibli formed.

Hmm? I imagine you mean Castle of Cagliostro if you're talking about Lupin. You don't need any other Lupin films to enjoy it at all, they're all pretty much stand alone stories. It's one of my absolute favorite movies and I suggest it to everyone who asks me what animes to check out.

Out of the ones that I've seen I thought Laputa: Castle in the Sky, Porco Rosso and Princess Mononoke were pretty decent. Honestly, Grave of the Fireflies didn't do anything for me; It wasn't anywhere near as heartbreaking/depressing as everyone said it was.

Yeah, I hate it when movies don't make me feel bad enough. I want to come away from that shit fucking suicidal man.

I'm pretty much in agreement with Ktulu. Porco Rosso is my personal favorite Ghibli movie also. However, I was utterly underwhelmed by Naussica of the Valley of the Wind, so I really wouldn't recommend putting a high priority on seeing it.

I rather liked, on top of those mentioned, Whisper of the Heart. It's a romance and not a fantasy anime like a lot of the others. I haven't seen Castle in the Sky, although I plan to this weekend. The other films metioned above are great, I recently saw a good anime short that reminded me of Myazaki's work, "[Voices of a Distant Star]" the drawing style isn't the same, but the ability to really pull in the watcher is the same.

I would definately recomend Howl's Moving Castle to you, as well as Princess Monomoke as both are excellent to watch and have very good music and storys.

Also I would definately recomend Naussica of the Valley of the Wind, since I found it to be good, especially the action scenes and the (Spoilers - highlight to see) flashbacks to her childhood that Naussica experiances at about the mid-point of the film.

Princess Mononoke is my favourite. The only one I havent liked was Spirited away. I liked Howls Moving Castle though.
Naussica is also good.

The Cat Returns is also fun. I own it and I watch it alot.

It's a bit short, and it's not as beautiful or as epic as some other Ghibli stuff, but it's still a great movie.

Kiki's Delivery Service is the same way.

I love the Cat Returns only because it was a really nice way to follow up Whisper of the Heart.

Plus the Cat is a badass.

Nausicaa is a really bad film with nice art direction. Just read the comics.

Am I the only one that thinks "Spirited Away" is overrated? I mean, it's good, but it's not the best thing to happen in Anime.

The five Anime movies that I like are Akira, Ghost in the Shell, Perfect Blue, Street Fighter II and Millennium Actress.

I think all of Miyazaki's movies are worth a watch. My favourite's being Spirited Away, Howl's Moving Castle, Porco Rosso and Kiki's delivery service. Mononoke is also quite good - but I couldn't call it my kinda thing.

Howl's moving Castle and Whisper of the Heart are my favorites. My Neighbor Totoro is good if you're into cute, fluffy things. I didn't like Porco Rosso or Castle in the sky too much.

I seriously disliked Spirited away. As for Akira, I detested it, it was absolutly rubbish in my opinion.
