James Blunt, he is very good.

Also: I can't really suggest anything totally open ended like that, GIVE ME SOMETHING TO WORK FROM.

I was listening to Fingers-Cut Megamachine and the Weakerthans today, check those out I guess. Both those will have TK's stamp of approval too.

TK: remember the time I compared the Weakerthans to Placebo? Oh how my brain must have been hemorrhaging that day. Placebo are still good though.

Mr. Bungle, Jeff Buckley, The Fiery Furnaces, Modest Mouse + Ugly Casanova, The Descendants, Tsunami Bomb, Aqualung, Tom Waits, Ben Folds/Five, Streetlight Manifesto

It's hard to do these things without uploading songs. ; ;

If you already listen to/don't like any of these let me know and I will replace them. I shuffled through my playlist till I got 10 bands/artists I thought you might think were neat.

I would go with everything Ndi said (cept I don't really like BEn Folds) but also serisouly check out some P.O.S.,Atmosphere, or Common even if you don't like Hip Hop at all I strongly suggest checking them out (I would go with P.O.S. or Atmosphere over common, but Common is also atill awesome) for non hip hop maybe Jens Lekman if you like silly swedish singer/songwriters, The Moldy Peaches/Kimya Dawson, Pavement, Guided By Voices, Ladytron, and Dressy Bessy.

haha. Yup!

And yeah those both have my stamp of approval. FCMM needs to get their asses back to the east coast already. I've still never seen them with the full band lineup (or... a full band lineup since it seemse like he changes every member of the band every time a new CD comes out.)

Some metal is very much mainstream, including Megadeth and Pantera. Also, have you ever heard of this weird band called Metallica?

When they play live does Devon do a one man band routine and strap the instruments to various parts of his body with a drum on his chest and all that. It would be pretty cool if he did.

haha, no. But the first time they toured, it was just him and the guy who at the time was playing lead guitar, Sam, who incidentally was also his roommate... it had a very cozy, "let's just get the hell out on the road" type of feel to it, which was great, but I'd still love to see them with a full band.

EiB are touring the UK again next month, which is nice. Jughead is a pretty swell guy for doing it twice in just over six months. The last venue I went to see them at was pretty shit and it looks like I’m gonna end up at it again if I go this time ;O

The main guy from The Hellblinki Sextet sits on a chair to play guitar during live sets. Normally I don't like it when people are sitting but he had a good reason because else he would not have been able to play the bass drum in front of him as easily. he also has a cymbal that he slaps with his hand. The band is also rather large as it is a sextet. They are pretty awesome.

As earlier suggested by Ndi, Ben Folds / Ben Folds Five
As earlier suggested by Hogan, try Atmosphere for some decent hip hop.
I also quite like I Am Kloot (try From Your Favorite, Darkstar, Sunlight hits the Snow, and Because). Ummm, who else. Mazzy Star. Rufus Wainwright. Can't really think of many others atm that you wouldn't have already listened to.
