Okay, so as those who have played through FFX-2 know, starting in Chapter 3, players are introduced to a device invented by Al Bhed whiz-kid Shinra known as the "CommSphere." Spheres are used throughout the world of Spira as means for making video recordings, but Shinra has found a way to use the spheres as a communication device --- both portable and fixed. In Chapter 3, he sets up a CommSphere in each area of Spira that you visit in that Chapter and a few bonus locations as well.
So what did everyone think of the CommSpheres? Personally, I found them to be an interesting break from the normal gameplay. Some of the stuff with the CommSpheres is really quite fun, such as setting up the Mi'ihen investigation and some of it's just plain amusing, such as some of the antics with Wakka. The CommSpheres also give you an opportunity to see some of the characters in situations you normally wouldn't, such as Dona sleeptalking. And it really reveals a lot of interesting background on Leblanc and her Syndicate. And chocoporting is just plain fun.
Problems with CommSpheres:
For those who are trying to get 100% in one game (something I don't recommend), it's so easy to miss something.
The CommSpheres can be rather glitchy at times.
Sometimes it can be very hard to tell when you've viewed a complete scene on a CommSphere.
