I'd like to take htis oportunity to say I completed Final Fantasy VIII today with Squall Level 97, Zell Level 89 (Who got compressed through time on Griever Battle) and Rinoa Level 58. I am getting Final Fantasy XI in exactly 8 days and I want to make sure I have finished all of the Final Fantasies before it before I move on to the next Chapter of Final Fantasy.
Here's the games I have and have not finished so far:
Final Fantasy - Complete
Final Fantasy II - Not Started
Final Fantasy III - Not Complete, Saved just before Jinn
Final Fantasy IV - Complete
Final Fantasy V - Complete
Final Fantasy VI - Not Complete, Saved at Desert Castle
Final Fantasy VII - Complete
Final Fantasy VIII - Complete
Final Fantasy IX - Complete
Final Fantasy X - Complete
Final Fantasy X-2 - Complete

So I have a week to finish 3 games, which I think I can tackle. Wish me luck guys and Gals!

Silly little moron. Did you not notice that the thread is nothing but an attention-seeking waste of space that makes no attempt to spark discussion?

It's honesty at its best.

Good, now try completing the game with all characters at level 1. Finishing it with your main character at level 97 is not worth creating a topic over.

Kind of hard to beat a game at level one when all or your characters start at around level 6-7. Not that levels matter that much in FFVIII anyway. Now a "No Junction" challenge would be something to brag about.

ON TOPIC: Considering FFII, FFIII and FFVI are all 20-30 hour games, I can't see you finishing all of them in a week. But hey, prove me wrong.

Then the lowest levels possible. ;) The no-junction challenge is a good idea too, since that's the most broken aspect of the game.

Finish ff6

FFXI has nothing to do with other FF games. You don't need to beat other FF games just so you can 'catch up on the story'.

I'd like to take "htis opportunity" to move this thread to General Final Fantasy, although I'm sorely tempted to simply close it...

I wanna finish FFVIII without summoning. Seems like a decent enough challenge to me. Someone should make a thread about fanmade FF handicaps. Such as the "no sphere grid" one for FFX and the "no junctioning" one for FFVIII

lol good luck "finishing" ffxi before ffxii. I would imagine you would "finish" ffxi around the time ffxviii came out or so.

in FF8, playing with everyone at 100 will be a hell of a lot harder than playing with everyone in their teens or 20's.

i've done it sarah, and it isn't tbh. it's a very easy game all round.

i like the sound of no-junction though.

My first play through I did no junction because I had no idea what in the fuck I was doing, so gg. I win.

It's not hard, btw. Just rely on your summons alot.

i know you'll know arnt the bosses relative to your level? like it would be easier to win at level 70 than level 90 because the boss is relative to your level or are the bosses in 8 set at their own levels?

Grammar matters anytime you're communicating via text with people you don't know. When you use the awful grammar you've shown in a public forum, you might as well be slapping crude cave drawings on the page, since it gives everyone else the impression that you have the mentality of a neanderthal.

Wow.. lively group.

Kudo's to you OP for finishing VIII. That game is tough and it took me awhile to finish it myself. I never had the patience to play through it again as I did not really like it in the first place.

If you want my honest opinion... I would not waste my time on FFXI. Seriously. It requires much more time than any other MMO IMO. Mainly because you cannot do anything past lvl 10 on your own. You will need a party to do anything. You'll need it to get XP, missions, quests (there is a difference between missions and quests), and other optional and job specific stuff. If you dont' pick the right job, you will more than likely be looking at a good 2-8 hour wait to get a party. Dragoons are looked down upon, White Mages and Red Mages will get a party as soon as they log on, Black Mages can make a party on their own. Paladins will be fighting for parties because people think that Ninja's are better at tanking. Dark Knights will be fighting for parties against Rangers and Samurai's.

If you really wanna waste your time with it, more power to ya, because there are times that I miss the game, but you will not "FINISH" the game ... for probably a couple years. I played for two years before I finally quit and I didn't come close. Just had Dark Knight and Paladin up to lvl 70+.

the fact you were at level 97 is quite an achievement, if you were at a lower level ie 70 or similar the final boss would have been easier to kill

Np... it's a real good game please don't get me wrong. I just feel that it's a waste of time because the game is so heavy on the "multiplayer" aspect so much that you can't do jack on your own. Glad that you have 3 people so far, you'll need 6 total to do anything. You'll get the hang of it. I really did enjoy that game. I played it for almsot 3 years. I just got frustrated with the inflation, the greed, the fact that no one really wants to help anyone else, but there are things that I miss about it so much. Weaponskills, Artifact Armor, leveling, damage dealing. Before I had quit the first time I was well known on the Unicorn server and quite popular even though I didn't have a job int he 70's. When i came back there was a whole new breed of players. Alot of my friends had left and greed seemed to have just settled in and no one cared about anything else other than getting those items that were hard to get and DRAMA! I'd always help out folks as much as possible, especially as a Paladin because then people would see that and eventually return the favor. That and it will get you alot of friends. Sometimes it can bite you in the butt though. Just be prepared to be BROKE. I hope they changed the economy alot because items can get pretty expensive. The japanese players are sometimes a pain in the ass to deal with and they generally do not like ot party with Americans because we don't play the same way, but if you got good gear you may just impress them. If a japanese player compliments you... you're now set for japanese parties, they'll come back and get you again because they know they can count on you. That's pretty much the jist of this particular online community.
