Final Fantast X (10)- was the fifth Final Fantasy game i had played until X-2 came out in 2004. But still to this day 5 years later- i still hav Final Fantasy X as my greatest game of all genres of all time!! The story of Tidus and Yuna is so captivating and heart warming it cool make the hardest of hardboiled steroid freaks sqweal. And then the FMV sequences come into play and i thought i was seeing through my television when i saw the aww realistic graphical detail. Oh my god! To this day, still the best ive seen- better than advent children. Anyway i hope u liked the game and if you havent played it yet. Wot the hell r u waiting for? Go buy it now!!! thankyou for listening to my Final Fantasy X post on the great ffshrine forum. ty, peace....lol....

There is clearly a FFX forum to post FFX threads in.

And yes, I quite enjoyed FFX as well.

After the initial dissapointment it grew on my quite a lot actually. At least the voice acting didn't ruin the game like i feared.

I was expecting it to be more like the three previous psx final fantasies.

FFX is my fave as well, the voices give the game so much more that other games, like emotion .
Some of the best FFtunes come from this game, and i love the battle system (it doesnt rush you).
It may be easier to complete, but some of the extra battles are really hard, The monster place thingy and The Dark Aeons (if you get them)
In my opinion, ffvii is good, but its not as good as FFX, as Grieversangel said

Might as well add in my two cents here.

No doubt in the story department FFX is very strong. The voice-acting helps immensly of course, and it's charged full of emotion, is cohesive and has pretty decent character development. Seymour is however, a pretty mediocre villian, with an unoriginal story to him, and probally his worst atrocity(killing most of the Ronso, almost totally ignored, apart from one scene in the entire game).

Where this game falls down is the battle system. It's entirely broken and the ridicolous break damage limit ability totally unbalances the game. As regulars to the FF section of the forum should know by now, I prefer the job system as it gives you something to think about in choosing your characters for the situation or area, rather then be able to build any character any way you want. It's a worthy addition to the FF series for sure, but far from the best.

Thanks for agreeing with me. I also agree with you when you said that the battle system doesn't rush you. In FFIX it is a rush.FFX characters look like they were well put together and I love the story!

In ffix, the characters were cartoony and not thought through properly, with FFx the story is good and characters are great

A totally agree with grieversangel

i love FFX and X-2. I would love to try the others. Which ones can i play on my PS2 or PC?

Fern Ingas
11-02-2006, 01:40 PM
Those are the only games for ps2, but if you buy a playstation a memory card you can play FFVII, FFVIII, FFIX, and i think you can get the old ones as well (1-6)
For PC you can get XI, which is online and you have to pay.
I think you can get VII and VIII, But im not sure they work on Windows Xp

Thank you!
But what about the new FF game? or Dirge of Cerberus? What system can those be played on? What kind of memory card?

Swedish Fish

Dirge of Cerberus is for PS2, hence the need for a PS2 memory card and a PS2. What is it with this influx of people who don't know shit about the stuff they use every day?

I liked FFX but wasn't really the greatest FF game I've played. I still prefer FF7 or FF:Tactics, really. Still, it has its pro's and con's.

No shit! The only reason I ask is because you can use both PS2 and the original play station memory cards on a PS2 system. Thanks for the info with Dirge of Cerberus.
