A directors cut of FF:AC called Final Fantasy 7 Advent Children Complete is on it's way. It will contain extra scenes and will be available on the new Blue-Ray media.....

I wonder what the upcomming trailer will have to offer.

To tell the truth...? The trailer shown at TGS didn't show anything really special. It was just a trailer. It was just "Wow, we're making AC COMPLETE!!1 BUY IT!! It's SPARKLIER!! AND STUFF!!"

I must have shut the original version out of my mind or something, because they DID show the fight scene between Cloud and Sephiroth, and it was different (it had a little added scene for all three seconds it lasted in the trailer), and I didn't even remember it until later. :P

From what I heard, the new scenes include one of Cloud getting cut by Sephiroth again, like in Nibelheim.

Yeah, I'm not really annoyed with it anymore. Nearly everyone does it. Where they release the crap version then release the one with the extra stuff a week or a month later to get you to buy it twice.

That's the original movie. It just has a few things that I wouldn't mind having.

There's the original movie, this new Collector's Edition that has the main movie with other stuff, and the Complete version which has added content and extra scenes. I'm not sure if it's coming outside of Japan, but I do know that they said a while ago that it will be released only on the Blu-Ray. This info was from a while back and I'm not sure if any of it has changed.

Im a dvd collector plus I love FF7 so it was something I was gonna pick up. Its definitley not for everyone. By the way, does anyone know what color the packaging was supposed to be? Ive seen pics online and they were all brown. The version I picked up had black packaging.

Yeah, I figured as much. I usually put off purchasing a DVD and it's for situations such as these. Square is so predictable.

Anyone else notice some of the scenes from the Original AC trailers didn't appear? Not even in the deleted scenes. The Three i noticed were:

1) A bunch of fight shots between Cloud and Kadaj that don't appear.

2) A Cool shot of cloud speeding down the freeway and Kadaj firing of a magic blast that knocked Cloud into the air, bike and all. When Cloud comes down they clash swords

3) That shot of Kadaj kneeling before Rufus doesn't appear anywhere apart from the trailers

Could they be restored to this AC Directors Cut?

I have the same problem as this with Blade Runner.

I bought the Special Edition on DVD, not realising that my Dad had it on video.
I also discovered the day after that there is a super-restored version --> the directors final Cut coming out near the end of the year

Will everyone please stop flaming SE for re-releasing a movie? HUNDREDS of movies have special editions and stuff, and have been re-released for blu-ray. I doubt that every single person who already has FFAC will go out and buy it again, or that people would buy a blu-ray player JUST for this movie.
There would be people who already have blu-ray, who like FFVII, but just haven't seen AC.
