It`s been awhile since I`ve played FF9, but I love it so much I never could forget the ending....it made me cry.

Anyway, I beat the game with all of the tokens (or whatever there are called, Stellios or something) and beat the other dude to get the supposed "second ending". I never beat it normal, but it seems to me there is only 1 ending. I know you can get another supposed "ending" by collecting all the cards (which I never would even think about doing). Is this true? And what is the differences in the 3 endings? Or is there no difference? Blarg!! I must know. Thanks.

There is only 1 ending, but u can unlock some secret scenes if you have save the queen and hammer

What ROKI said is true.

And for the record, your grand reward for collecting all the cards is nothing.

Well if you collect all the cards, and level them all up, you can get the best Card rank, or something like that. Having said rank is required to get the best Treasure Hunter ranking--the only reward of that is "hey, look what I did!"

No, actually, if you collect all the all the cards and raise them to the best rank, you get a glitch. I am not kidding. From GameFAQ's Tetra Master Guide:

"No. There wasn't, isn't, and never will be any kind of tangible reward for playing Tetra Master. You don't win items, gold, hidden FMV's, or even fame by reaching the top collector level. The reward for putting in the hard hours required is absolutely zip, zilch, nada, nothing, nil, zero, the big goose egg, total and complete vacuum - a veritable oblivion."

And:

"So what happens at 1700, you ask? Well, under your collector pts. where Master was written it now says, superimposed over everything, 'Would you like to discard?'. So, after a hundred hours of playing this game I am rewarded with a F***ING GLITCH!!!"

Oh. Shows how much Tetra Master-ing I've done. I knew there wasn't a 'real' reward--I was unaware of this glitch, though. Hilarity.

Pretty dissappointing that you get nothing to show for all that work. Hence why I never bothered.

Well, some of us are just happy with the silly satisfaction of having done it.

...eh-heh...

(And yes, it took me MONTHS to get all 100, let alone level them up to the "X" level. Who knows how much longer it'll take to get the rest of them up to the "A" level... >.<)

Thanks, now I am so glad I did not level up those dang cards, blarg.
Do you know if they have a video somwhere of the different endings?
Or maybe you can just tell me the difference between the 3 extra scenes.

Actually, despite the rumours, there is only ONE ending. Not three.

However, having the Hammer in your inventory adds ONE extra scene to the 'I Want to be Your Canary' play in the ending. Nothing else. Contrary to the rumour, having Save the Queen in your inventory does absolutely NOTHING.

SPOILERS AHEAD

The extra scene takes place in the play after Blank's character knocks out Ruby's character Princess Cornelia. It shows Blank meeting with Baku's character 'King Leo', in which King Leo discovers Blank's treachery, and kills him, before sending the Nero brothers to find Princess Cornelia. The scene then continues as normal to the scene of Marcus on the dock. That's it. Nothing else.

Yes, I agree with that. Enkidoh is absolutely correct --- the "execution" scene in the only 'bonus' ending. There's nothing else.

Thank you for clearing that up for me. Thats sad, the guide lies so bad, and is written oddly because you have to go to a site that is not even there to find out the things you want to know and thats why you bought the guide in the 1st place!!

Anyway, thanks again.

Are you talking about the piece-of-crap BradyGames Final Fantasy IX Official Strategy Guide? Yeah, that thing's a piece of junk. The site used to be there and used to be available for free even to those that didn't have the guide, but even that's not there anymore. That thing's not worth the paper it's written on.

agreed. It did have nice photos though, I guess. I got it for a buck, so I did not lose to much, ha,ha,ha.

Roffle. Yeah, and I got from the library, so I had nothing to lose, except my time.
