Ok so on my first run through FFVII i had the idea that marlene was tifas child until barrets story was revealed. with tifa looking after her at the begining and barret seeming to hate cloud alot, i thought barret and tifa were devorcies or something and barret was pissed at cloud and tifa being so close.
Kinda weird i know but this idea got stuck in my head early on in the game so it was hard to knock out. anyone else think anything like this?

On subject, when Marlene ran up to Barret and said "Papa!", it was kind of a dead give away that he was, you know, her papa.

i figured he was her papa. i just thought Tifa was the mother or something like there was a history between Tifa and Barret for some odd reason.
She just seemed all bossy and controlling over Barret.

I don't think anything special happens, but the dialog is a little hard to read:

Cloud: "Where are you going Nanaki?"
Man: "Nanaki has returned!"
Cloud: "Who's Nanaki?"
Man: "Nanaki is... Nanaki."
