I took the time to rip the whole soundtrack, and so far I've uploaded these first two parts, though more will come later, hopefully tomorrow. I figured I should post the first two now anyway since the links only last a week. Note: I am missing the Nook's Cranny and Nook'N'Go themes, simply because I didn't think to record the songs when I had those stores in my town, and now I can't find another town that has them I can go to. So if anyone can help, that'd be great. Anyway... You might have to log in to download, it's easy to create an account though.

Nope, that's it, I couldnt figure out how to edit the topic title but that is all.

EDIT: And BTW I didn't do repeats of K.K. Slider songs from the last game, only the new ones, cause I think they're about 99% the small, maybe small instrumentation changes here and there, but that's it. Same with the BGM variations for when it snows and rains, it would be too much of a pain in the ass to get all those, and they're pretty much the same anyway, besides maybe a lead instrument change and drop out of the bass track, etc.

Overall the rip sounds great!
Though I found a few tracks at different bitrates like 128CBR and 320CBR (I think.) I also have to question what kind of encoder he used.

I'd like to include the answers to these in the notes as well, so... yeah.

yea about that... I used a program called Audacity to record it directly from my DS into my computer's soundtrack input using a simple 1/8" cable, raised the volume of each by 5 dB, applied fades where necessary, and then exported each as an mp3 using the same program. Sorry about the changing bitrates, I also use the same program for recording my own stuff which I export at 320kbps, so at times I would forget to change it back to 192kbps. The ones encoded at 128kbps I actually found somewhere, I didn't record those. (tracks 2, 3, 97, & 98) Hopefully the changing bitrate isnt too much of a big deal.

EDIT: Oh, and I'm not exactly sure Kazumi Totaka and Asuka Ohta are the composers. The credits for the game only list Totaka as sound director, Ohta as sound assist, and a couple guys as sound effects, nothing for composers like the first game. I emailed nintendo but got no response, so yea

I appreciate what you have done, really. :) These 4 128 kbps tracks actually come from Animal Crossing Keke Choice Forest Mix. but here, I'm just wondering whether the title music in the actual NDS is the same or different... since the one in your rip contains actual copy of tracks from that CD.

Is track 2 the same as what's in the game? I'm pretty sure it's exactly the same. I don't know what the last two tracks are, must be some kind of exclusive, and I didn't know where those mp3s originated either, but I thought they would be good to include.

It depends on what you mean by "it freezes". If you have the "No Free Download Slots Available" message, wait a minute for the link to show itself again. It may take a couple of tries, but you'll be able to download the file eventually.

If you have any other message you'll just have to try again later.

No it`s like this:
I start the download when the download window shows. I usually download a file to 50 % then it won`t continue. It stops there and when i try to use a download agent it stays the same. The only change is that a message comes up saying that it can`t find the download link.

I see, yeah, that happens on me sometimes as well. Are you on dial-up connection? That might be part of the problem, and it would be easier for you to download smaller files. I'd reupload the entire rip myself, but I'm busy with other uploads at the moment, so someone else will have to do it if anyone's up for it.

Go for it, only thing is I changed the tracklisting, cause I added a track I missed last time, the New Year's Day BGM. Therefore everything track 64 and after will be one track greater, ie. 64. Agent K.K. is now 65, etc. Also the Nook's Cranny and Nook'N'Go tracks are still missing, unless someone has a town with those shops and a wifi connection, I won't be able to get them, I'm not starting my file over for that.

Anyway, part 3 should be up tomorrow, I gotta do it when no one else is using the internet, otherwise the whole thing drags while its going.

It's basically more professionally well-done versions of the various hourly themes (the bouncy 1 PM theme is included) as well as a couple different versions of K.K. Bossa and Soulful K.K. I don't know why only those two airchecks, but those two sound great from what I heard from the previews. Anyway, yea.
