no, Diamond Weapon is the one that attacks Midgar. when you fight it and scan it it say Diamond Weapon =)

The name "Sapphire WEAPON" comes from FFVII's Ultimania Guide, I think.
Diamond WEAPON is the big white one that attacks Midgar and tries to block Sister Ray.

And no where in that game does it mention that the WEAPON that attacked Junon was in fact "Sapphire WEAPON"

The name Sapphire is not actually mentioned in the game, but it was confirmed by its database entry in the fourth disk of Final Fantasy VII International and then more recently in an official collectible figurine release

There's an Ultima and Omega Weapon in FF VIII too. And as far as I remember (anno :) there was a Lethal Weapon in FF VI. (Regular enemy, but still a Weapon, no? :P)
