Is it really worth it?

let the words of wisdom fly around your mind listen to them well as they repeat them selfs over and over again and in the end...we never listen...so whats the point of being wise when people never listen ...we try so hard to help this world become better place even though the evil is greater in number then us...we do it to help ... some people may listen to us and join us but then there are ppl that dont care and rather keep living in this evil world so now i ask u, my friends, is all the fighting really worth it? is the loss of life really worth it? we fight to gain and in the end we gain nothing...all we gain is a stronger love for fighting...killing...distroying lives...

Well, I'm not left feeling an emotion after I have read this poem so it fails in that respect, as a poet seeks to convey his emotions powerfully and accuratly. Either you do not feel strongly enough about it or you need to re-write the poem.

i dont think that there's anything to be done about all of the fighting and killing and what not. so long as people have hate for one another, fighting will go on. so, is it worth it? i dont think so, but what does it matter when theres so much confusion in the world? im just one person, and this is my one opinion. everyone else in the world has their own opinion, and theres someone out there who's opinion will go against someone elses opinion. you can't force opinions onto other people. sure, you can convince someone, but can you really convince the whole world what is right and what is wrong? we cant get the whole world to listen either when they're too busy fighting. i dont think its worth it, but i also dont think that theres anything that can be done about it :sad:

hmmm its a nice thought but lets face reality. what are we to do? are we to go out in the battlefield and yell "STOP!!!" only to be mistaken by one side as the enemy and soon probably killed? no. sure, there are other things to do but lets look at the chance of success. if you're talking about the war in Iraq, then billions of dollars are being spent each month. how would you convince the US to pull out when they've sacrificed so much for nothing? its hard to convince people to stop fighting especially when they're mind is made up. i know i know, one person can make a difference they say, but this is on a global scale, and the odds are against one person

this is my opinion on things. believe me, id love for all of the fighting to stop, but i just dont think that theres anything to be done..:erm:

I liked this. An artist myself, somewhat, I respect all forms of poetry. Poetry is all about expression, if this is the way you poetically express yourself, so be it. Keep up the good work.

Oh, and Black Paladin, I know someone who's poetry could make Ben Stein burst into tears.
